Let's hope he got nice presents

    Ivan Rakitić

That article makes it sound like he's the only midfielder who's ever tackled an opponent lol. The distance covered statistics clearly reveal that he's not a "workhorse" or "the lungs of the team" by any means. Maybe if he starts to play less, he'll run more, but for now, his workrate is average...

    Mavericky Puig

Just watched that performance against Lleide and it's difficult to not get really excited about this kid. What is especially assuring about him is his mentality. Wants the ball, takes charge, bases his decision making on winning the game instead of covering his own ass / looking good for the coach.

    Sergio Busquets

He doesn't necessarily need pace around him, he just needs movement. Players that can move on and off the ball. Arthur is slower than Rakitic but offers much more relief because of how active he is and because he can turn and drift around in tight areas.

He doesn't have very good close control either. You often hear pundits talking about Messi playing football like it's playstation. Of course there's the spectacular ability it takes to execute the shit he pulls, but this is also very much down to how much attention he can afford to give to...

He's been playing better at Juve than in his last 3-4 years for Real. I don't see the pattern that he will gear up in feb/march this season being replicated this time around, because as far as I can tell he's already playing in top gear. The spotlight's been on him playing for a new club and...

    7 - Philippe Coutinho - V1

He's definitely not a bad player to have on the wing. I just think that 1) his potential is being somewhat wasted and 2) having Messi play with an attacker that doesn't make deep runs is a waste of Messi's ability. I sound like a broken record, but the reason Neymar worked so well in that spot...

    7 - Philippe Coutinho - V1

I don't think he's in a funk. I just don't see what more he can do in a position like that. There are a few mistakes that could be polished off, but nearly every time he receives the ball, he gets the most out of it that someone like him can. When there's no throughball to make or link-up...

    6 - Carles Alena

Well, if he did like Rakitic & just didn't run to make himself available unless he was in loads of space, then he would probably make fewer mistakes. He and Arthur consistently put themselves in risky positions to relieve teammates, while Rakitic walks around in the shade and looks on. In...

    Sergio Busquets

In all honesty, I really think our current team might fare better on a smaller pitch. The size of Camp Nou gives us a big disadvantage defensively and we hardly use it for much going forward.

    Nelson Semedo

When he let Lucas take the ball off him in the box after Cillessen's save... yikes that was not pretty
  15. BusiTheKing

    Sergio Busquets

Camp Nou is just too damn big for his legs. Can we look into some sort of pitch reduction?

    6 - Carles Alena

lol i've been very sceptical of him, but I thought he did great tonight. There were a few passages where he fell out of the game a little bit, but did most things right and covered a lot of ground defensively.

    7 - Philippe Coutinho - V1

Coutinho in the midfield means we have to switch our paradigm to defending by having possession completely. Go for balance and you'll get stuck in the middle. The way I see it, if Coutinho is in the midfield, he has to have Arthur with him (who, I may add, is no defensive slouch either).

    Andrés Iniesta

I'm not sure why, but that video nearly moved me to tears with him smiling at the end there sitting on the bench. With everything he's gone through and all... there was something extremely blissful about seeing him without any worries just meeting his old friends.

    Cr150

Oh god, think of the post-retirement statements from him, we and the coming generation will have to suffer under. When the spotlight on him begins to fade, he will become much worse than Pele.
