    Nico Williams

Leao isn't coming, and we will be lucky if we can afford Nico btw. We need RB, LB, possibly CB, and backup winger. Those are minimum needs to have a full functioning squad. After that we could argue another CF (or starting one, it depends on who you are asking) and a GK (Since Pena step up and...

    Nico Williams

He looked like a fantastic dribbler in reality, he didn't knew what to do beside it.

    Nico Williams

It is literally the opposite. He attempts too much dribbles, and fails in high rate, but number of successful dribbles is high because of high number of attempts. His success rate of dribble is bad, as said above, almost 3 quarters of players/forwards have better dribble success rate

    Nico Williams

It is 38% this season in Liga. 26 is percentile, not percentage. It means that he is only better than 26% of players/forwards (depends on which Andresito is quoting) in dribble success. That is actually atrocious. For the record, I don't think he is a bad dribbler, what I said is "not top...

    Nico Williams

Percentile, not percent. You misread the data. Percentile here means he is in the top 12% of successful dribbles (not successful % percent) Which no one is disputing, he is high volume dribbler. No one has 88% take ons. Maybe a defender who attempts one every blue moon.

    Nico Williams

He is 12th in completed take ons this season in top 5 leagues, while having the lowest success rate in top 50. Only number 50 (Eze) also has success rate lower than 40%. Yeah, "not top notch" describes it accurately.

    Hans-Dieter Flick

Who invented it is a mute point, who makes fear in Europe is also irrelevant. And get out of the "bubble discussion" about better league, that isn't what I am discussing. I wasn't describing parking the bus either, that is very simplistic way to understand my post. Liga clubs, in Spain, has...

    Hans-Dieter Flick

There are many reports I've read that there is no more draws in CL. That it will be a path based on your league ranking. So if we finish 2nd, we won't have Liverpool in our path to the finals, and the 3rd seeding team will have a path to meet in Semi-final. In round of 16 we meet that team based...

    Champions League 2024-25

I am comparing teams based on who got those 4 extra spots. In 32 teams fornat, Bologna and BVB will be in Europa League. Two other spots went for smaller teams, not Brest or Brugge I think, teams in their positions always end in CL. Maybe those who usually follow qualifications could help me hete

    Champions League 2024-25

The new format should be judged by summer 2027 to be fair judgement. 4 extra games on most teams, that will take a toll, add CWC, add National teams tournaments and then we will see the full effect of it. Also, yeah, extra teams only serve "inclusion " criteria. Although, tbf, 2 of those...

    Hans-Dieter Flick

Poch left Spurs in 2019, Mourinho left Manu in 2018. EPL had the resources to move on from those tactics in few years. Poch was decent last year btw, what I wrote wasn't criticism to him , but that it will be tough for a more defensive/ conservative coach to work and stay in a big EPL club...

    23 - Jules Kounde

7 G+A this season. He is contributing more in offense now.

    Hans-Dieter Flick

During the Messi/CR7 era, la liga clubs learned the hard way how to slow the game down, being defensively astute, using every trick in the book for that. La liga for years had the lowest actual minutes played in top 5 leagues. Real actually learned that trick too when they played Barca, and it...

    10 - Lamine Yamal

I mean, most talented attackers has those traits. We were a bit spoiled with Messi and Suarez.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

23 goals this season (3 penalties) and leading scorer in both Liga and CL. He is doing fine tbh, not many good no9 press in the world atm, and most of those who does aren't anywhere near his scoring ability. He is who he is at this age, a goal scorer. He scores it is all good, he doesn't then...

    3 - Alejandro Balde

He had a tough test with that Duranville kid. Although the later is at his "all bark and no bite" development stage as he rarely score or assist yet. So, there was that. His offense atm is worse than Kounde, which is a big problem for us.

    5 - Pau Cubarsí

It was a bad game from him tbh, understandable due to age but it also shows why more experienced CB are needed.

    Barca Transfers and Rumors

Striker is needed, but not the priority. We need to address depth before anything. Defense is lite, so is attack. Get a new LB, RB, RW/LW and then look at striker. Maybe someone like J.David on free agent although he looks so mediocre to me.

    21 - Frenkie de Jong

That ball loss in front of penalty area was his worst play and frustrated af, otherwise it wasn't a bad show from him considering how the game turned into full chaos mode by the time he entered.
