    6 - Gavi

A shame he hasn't got that acceleration to beat players. He could be deadly.

    Adama Traore

I always love his pure force, a beast of nature. Hope he succeeds here!

La Liga | Round 23: FC Barcelona - Atletico Madrid 4-2

Can we get alba out so I don't have to look away every time he touches the ball? Is balde not ready?

    Ernesto Valverde

Also a great goal by Messi disallowed for freaking handball. That was a weird time to sack ev, even if I didn't like him, we looked really good that game.

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

This is true, I tend to see it this way too lately. Messi, should have left as I said before, after anfield along with ev. We might have been in a brighter spot now. Even so, I like watching our young players run and try, it's refreshing after all the snail pace passing and walking about.

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

We could accommodate him then, but with all the other veterans included, it was a too low intensity for cl and other top teams. If we had dropped some of our other oldies for younger, even if average, players, it would have worked better. At least, even with that old squad we were still a top 10...

    Xavi Hernández

Oh no. But Birdy assured us that whoever doesn't see his virtues doesn't get football. Anyway..

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

Even if he wasn't prime Messi, 2019 was the last chance for me. He was still delivering through individual play, direct fk, assists, dribbling. After that collapse at anfield, which I don't blame him not even 1%, he has not been the same player. I get you change after a certain age and...

    Philippe Coutinho

Perhaps he did, as I said, it was a time I wasn't able to watch Barca, so I missed out that part of his career. We certainly did, but Barca 2019 was pretty good. He was the odd man out in that team, along with some horror performances from rakitic and alba.

    Ousmane Dembélé

So, decade of dominance was about PSG after all?

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

PSG doesn't have an ideal setup or players for Messi, but he is nowhere near his old self, to accommodate him like that. He has shown glimpses of running more to press, making some runs to receive here and there and still doesn't get involved as much and he's frustrated at teammates. Messi of...

    Philippe Coutinho

I like his play style but the man could not perform in Barcelona to save his life. He was too shy and invisible when better players were around and when they left and he was the highest paid in the squad he got overshadowed by 17 year olds. That's what I am going on about. I really don't care...

Bum player only able to perform on lower level teams with lower level of expectations. What else is new?

    Ernesto Valverde

I won't take assignments from you. You can check his stats on Your own, adjust them for quality of team and age and see where it gets you. But I would still like an answer, like it's the 3rd time avoiding it.. Is it true, or is false that we were barely able to beat even mediocre / low tier...

    Ernesto Valverde

Yes, with a decline die to age and ofcourse peps team was alround great. Apart from that, it's a steady minutes/goals and minutes/assists ratio with every manager. So, consistently great with all managers. Again what was your point. That we beat Madrid once without him easily but could not even...

    Ernesto Valverde

Messi stats under pep, lucho, ev and koeman are actually pretty similar, with a really minor decline as he got older, so he played consistently great under any manager. What's your point? That Barca were able to beat Madrid in one game without Messi but couldn't even beat getafe 9/10 times if...

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

We are flying now though. Good decision not to continue, I agree. Bad way to do it as always by the Barca board.

    Ansu Fati (loaned to Monaco)

Surgery or not, I feel his career at top level is in serious danger. Some phycological scars will remain even if his knees recover. I wouldn't put too much faith in him being a big asset.

    Ousmane Dembélé

Would be really bad for him if he intentionally played poorly, no professional would do that for getting regular time. And if he did, we aren't guaranteed to get top4 anyway and he would get a shit transfer.
