    25 - Wojciech Szczęsny

He has about a 1:1 ratio between impressive saves and serious errors. Similar level to Ter Stegen, I'd say.

    Ansu Fati (loaned to Monaco)

He had a nice touch over the defender towards the end but then messed up the pass. Could easily have bought himself another cameo there.

    6 - Gavi

He causes a good deal of defensive instability when he comes on. When pressing he just lurches straight at the ball and is easy to pass around. He also runs into zones occupied by teammates, leaving holes in our shape.

    1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Christ, there is some severe retconning going on here. It is now accepted truth that Ter Stegen was completely shit for all those years? That's not even remotely true. For some of those seasons, it was not an unpopular opinion that he was our next best player after Messi. I'm not saying he has...

    1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

We weren't humiliated in the CL because of individual mistakes, by Ter Stegen nor by any other player. We were humiliated because we played arrogant football with no intensity. We were ran out of the pitch over and over again. It is a bit ironic blaming Ter Stegen for those failures, when he...

    25 - Wojciech Szczęsny

I think if he had just stood still, the ball might have lodged itself neatly between the crossbar and the top of his head.

    25 - Wojciech Szczęsny

Actually, mistiming your steps on a corner so that you have no time to react to a potential header is an error.

    25 - Wojciech Szczęsny

Yeah just one of those unsavable headers that come straight at the keeper at average speed. So impossible to save. Especially for a 195cm goalkeeper.
  9. BusiTheKing

    25 - Wojciech Szczęsny

For fuck sake a normal header from the edge of the six yard box straight at the goalkeeper is not a difficult safe. Szczesny times his steps so that he is caught mid-air when the header is made. When he is back on the ground and ready to make his jump, the ball is already floating in above his...

    25 - Wojciech Szczęsny

Very annoying. The timing of his steps was just completely off, which is a simple matter of concentration. Was probably getting too complacent in there. A bit of fucking focus and it's an easy safe.

    23 - Jules Kounde

He always seems to get on the end of these crucial chances. Never manages to score them.

La Liga Round 30: Barca - Betis 1-1

Easing off after taking the lead tends to result in harder games though. End up having to sprint around in the 92nd minute trying to hold on to the three points. Much better to go for 3-4 goals and then cruise it out, sub out the most tired etc.

FC Barcelona: Win of the youth system

Nice display by Quim. In my eyes he is missing that bit of grace or natural instinct needed in a top level 10. But he did have some very nice plays and seems to take responsibility offensively, which is good.

    11 - Raphinha

Looked a shell of himself. The Argentinos have done a number on him.

FC Barcelona: Win of the youth system

If he isn't good enough to start for the b team, he's certainly not good enough to play for the a team. The hype wasn't insane either. He was highly rated because of his national team performances but never looked like an top talent.

    Jofre Torrents

As a back-up to Balde I think Martin is fine. Torrents appears a lot more talented of course. But if he turns out a significantly better player than Martin, he'll probably be too good for a back-up role anyway.

    Jofre Torrents

Looks class this kid. A shame we're aleready good on LB's.

    Pedro Fernández 'Dro'

    impressive stuff

    Hans-Dieter Flick

Slightly worried that we continue to play less direct and more possession based than in the start of the season. Could be fatigue, could be the increasing pressure, or just Barca naturally gravitating back into our default style. Still winning so maybe fuck it, but I miss those lethal counter...

    Atlético Madrid

They have certainly broken new ground with this defensive diving. Atleti defenders throwing themselves to the ground right and left trying to cancel our attacks. Ref bought it a few times but then caught on it seemed. They really are a ridiculous side at times.
