Who shall be the new 4th captain

I think it's safe to say that's all behind Pique now. He's matured a lot and has become a lot more like Puyol.

    Aleix Vidal

My thoughts, too. :) Prepare to be hated because of them, though.

Who shall be the new 4th captain

My thoughts exactly. The only thing that worries me with Mascherano is his tendency to argue with refs regardless of him being right or wrong. I'm a bit more confident in Messi and Iniesta in that regard (even Pique), but in all honesty, every player can have such moments. For example, seeing...

Who shall be the new 4th captain

Nationality is not the question here. Iniesta and Messi are not Catalan, either. The bottom line is, I don't disagree with you that Mascherano should be captain. He has the mentality and character of a captain. I just think that Pique would make a fine captain, as well. IMHO the two of them...

Who shall be the new 4th captain

I agree. Although, Iniesta's attitude, experience and achievements make a strong argument for him being captain regardless of the lack of leadership/charisma.

Who shall be the new 4th captain

If you think this doesn't/shouldn't matter, you're missing a big part of what makes Barcelona different that most European clubs. But anyway, it's a hard pick between the two. IMHO, it should be Iniesta, Messi, Pique and Mascherano, but that's obviously not going to happen.

    Daniel Alves

Sounded like a goodbye speech to me, although he did not explicitly say it.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

Welcome. I'm not too familiar with him, I just hope his style won't mean that Alba needs to play even more defensively. He's a beast in attack, it's a shame to tame him.

    Luis Enrique

I get the joke, but in all honesty, that's uncalled for and borderline disrespectful towards Tata. The results we had last season weren't for a lack of effort or competence on his part. Tata was forced to deal with shit that Lucho was lucky to avoid, and he had a significantly weaker squad. And...

    Daniel Alves

That makes no sense. The rumors started exactly at the same time Alves announced that he most likely won't be renewing. And the club themselves said that no player will be allowed to leave, which really makes sense. Besides, Alves staying and Vidal arriving, with Montoya/Douglas leaving, would...

    Penal Madrid

Oh, you mean like deciding to move to the wing and let Suarez play in the middle so that Suarez can be at his best, and the front three can benefit the team the most, even though it's not his favorite position to play? Sure. Messi does have power, that much is certain, but how he uses it is...

    Daniel Alves

Obviously Vidal is being signed because Alves is leaving. You would think that much is clear. His contract is ending, he rejected our final offer, and we have a transfer ban, so no players with ongoing contract will be allowed to leave. Doesn't take much to put 2 and 2 together. Vidal is a...

    Luis Enrique

IMHO one of the most important things that he did, and one that he deserves a lot of credit for, is making the transition from Barca to Barca-without-Xavi as painless as possible. After the last few seasons, I don't think anyone could have imagined that it would work out as well as it did. If...

That looks like a mini John Pinette. Especially with the "oh boy".

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

If we buy Vidal and Montoya doesn't leave in January, we'll be set. Even with Alves gone and Adriano possibly leaving. Alba / Mathieu / Vermaelen at LB Vidal / Montoya / Douglas at RB That's more than enough depth, in numbers, at least. And Mathieu and Vermaelen get to rotate both for LB and...

    Andrés Iniesta

Messi makes it hard to say this, but somehow I think Iniesta is my favorite player.

    Andrés Iniesta

Not happy about his muscle discomfort, but I'm glad he won't be joining Spain. They have plenty of attacking midfielders who'll do the job, Iniesta needs rest.

The only appropriate situation to use a selfie stick.
