    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

We're going to add Arda and Vidal in January either way. That's 2 players already.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

LOL we're not going to sign three players in January.

    Arda Turan

Not that it would make any sense, but I think they would sooner let us register a player if it was someone completely new, and not Turan. Depends on how you look at it really. What this should be is allowing us to register a player before the January transfer window, due to injury...

    Arda Turan

We were allowed to sign players, just not register them. But Sterlingfan is right to some extent. If they allow us to register a player in September because of an injury, when you look at the whole picture, the ban would have been pointless.

    Arda Turan

Letting us register a player only 3 weeks after the ban officially ended would defeat its purpose completely. I can't imagine them going along, even if it's legally possible. Legal and FIFA don't go together, anyway.

    Arda Turan

Did you even read the rest of my post? If the ban ended, then why didn't we just register Arda and Vidal on September 1st? Or anytime since then?

    Arda Turan

How is this relevant? Did any of those clubs have a transfer ban? Fifa never intervened because, unlike now, there were no outside circumstances (such as a freaking ban). I know we're not buying him but registering him. But by that logic, we could have waited until September 1st and registered...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v4

Which is exactly why that stat is pointless. Circumstance > conversion rate.

    Arda Turan

I don't see it happening. It would completely defeat the purpose of the ban in the first place, FIFA won't allow it.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v4

Damn! Three times as many as the runner-up. That's just incredible. When the player does as much as Messi does for Barca, you couldn't possibly hold it against him when he misses a penalty, even in a crucial moment. Because without him, the team wouldn't get as far as it did in the first place.

    Penal Madrid

The receiving player is clearly behind the ball. It's onside. However, I wouldn't hold it against the line ref, that's incredibly difficult to see in the moment.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v4

The conversion rate of our other players is irrelevant because they have taken so few. If I'm not mistaken, Neymar has taken three and scored two so far. That's a conversion rate of 66%. But what's not to say that he'd have 90% if he took the next 7 penalties or whatever. Or the other way...

I missed the game, but saw the lineup? Were we playing a 4-2-3-1 with Messi as #10?

    Adriano Correia Claro

Best theory so far. They'll try to make it look like we got him to sign an extension instead of leaving for Roma or wherever.

    Diego Costa

Another brilliant final pass from Fabregas. Say what you want, but when he's on form, he delivers the best final passes in the world.

    Rafinha Alcantara

A split second can be the difference between a perfectly clean tackle and a career-ending injury. Tackles are part of the game, and sometimes they go terribly wrong. When they do, the situation needs to be analyzed and those who are responsible need to be banned. Biting, however, isn't part of...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v4

Yes, I thought the same at first, except Rafinha was the backup for Messi's position.
  19. Stric

    Rafinha Alcantara

Clumsiness and recklessness are not the same as malice. He may be a dirty, reckless player, and he may have had many of those previously, but you still can't possibly know that he intended to cause harm the other player in those situations. He just doesn't think of the possible consequences when...

    Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

On paper, absolutely. Messi's brilliant diagonal through balls to the left wing with a scorer like Cristiano on the receiving end would be brutal. But I honestly doubt Ronaldo and Messi could work together in reality.
