I find arrogance less irritating if it can be backed up

    Luis Suárez

When we gave him that deal he was probably the best striker in the world and we have much higher revenue than Liverpool.

    Josep Maria Bartomeu

But he was not a starter. If Suarez would accept the bench I could live with it

    Frenkie de Jong

But having an armband does not give you status automatically. If Ramos had his captaincy taken away he would still run that locker room. Anyone who came to Madrid would not need to see an arm band on his bicep to know that he runs the place

CL | 1/4 Final: FC Barcelona - FC Bayern Munich 2-8

I think I just expected us to lose, albeit not in such a humiliating fashion, so it was easier to stomach. I was overcome by a numb apathy by about the 6th goal  Maybe the fact that there was no crowd made it seem less painful too. Plus, if the emphatic loss finally forces the board to...

    Neymar Jr.

Definitely. Because if Bayern win PSG will always say it's because of no Neymar

    Frenkie de Jong

Yes I see what you mean but i don't think there is a footballing benefit to who wears the arm band. Puyol, whether he wore the arm band or not, was a true leader of men and it was obvious. Within a team there should naturally be some leaders who don't need an armband. People like Mascherano...

CL | 1/4 Final: FC Barcelona - FC Bayern Munich 2-8

I'm not sure. Personally the Anfield one really made me want to vomit. It was a semi final as well and they were without 2 of their best attackers. The corner kick goal was truly heartbreaking to watch

    Ronald Koeman

With Koeman at least he has the respect of the players and will be given authority to wield the axe. Setien was just a puppet

    Luis Suárez

They might just be defending their clients' interests as is their job. I would imagine the players in question haven't been spoken to yet on this matter. When we told Ronaldinho it was time to leave I believe he had 2 years left on his deal

    Luis Suárez

One difference in that case is players like Pique and Busi have an emotional connection to Barca that Bale would never have to Madrid. While they have big egos, I'd imagine that they would not like to be seen as holding Barca back from progressing

    Samuel Umtiti

It would have been funny seeing this guy in the Bayern game

    Ronald Koeman

It's going to be nice seeing Larsson around again

    Josep Maria Bartomeu

I think the obvious ones to leave should be Busquets, Rakitic and Vidal as we have de Jong and Pjanic. We might have to live with Alba, Suarez and Pique for a bit longer. Umtiti is another one I'd like to see gone if we bring in Garcia

CL | 1/4 Final: FC Barcelona - FC Bayern Munich 2-8

This result hurts far less than the Anfield one, though.

    Frenkie de Jong

It shouldn't matter who wears the arm band. It's purely symbolic. You don't have to be captain to be a great leader and every great team needs multiple leaders.

    Josep Maria Bartomeu

If they are sternly told that they are not wanted and will be benched it may make some consider leaving. It may mean partially paying the players' contracts out

    Neymar Jr.

Not salty at all. Di Maria was better tonight.

It was more than fitness. We threw in the towel and gave up
