    World Cup 2022

I wouldn't be surprised to see some shitshows. The match quality might not be great in some games, we could have goalless draws decided on penalties, or a fluke goal and 90 mins park the bus since most teams can't take any risks at this stage. I'm not too confident with predictions to be fair...

    Cr150

Not gonna lie, it's popular to shit on him these days. And this is also the perfect forum for that:lol: To be fair, I was also one of these fans if we talk 8-10 years ago. I remember all the derbies in the early 2010s and this huge club/player rivalry(Madrid vs Barca, Ronaldo vs Messi)aswell as...

    World Cup 2022

Could've been the heir to Eto'o.. That's a bit odd, but I can see why you can't associate yourself with any of the current players. None of them seem to have the aura that the Brazil legends from 10-20 years ago had. Whatever the scenario will be, you guys have 5 cups and nobody else can equal...

    World Cup 2022

It would've been crazy to see the germans drag the spaniards with them. But still, well played Japan. It's nice to see an underdog making it out of such a tough group.

    Now THAT would be crazy

    World Cup 2022

Seems like things are going according to the plan tonight..

    If Yugoslavia still existed......

Can't say I disagree with what you said. Mandzukic seems to be the bigger game player, though Dzeko had a good career aswell. He also contributed to that 3-2 win against QPR which won City the title. I probably picked him based on that, and the fact that he's an icon in Bosnia.. It's crazy that...

    World Cup 2022

I wanted to see him do a cameo aswell because it seems that he's the infinite bench warmer for Argentina. But if we take a simple guess it's probably because they can't be both accommodated in the starting starting XI at the same time. Both left footed, both have a similar playing style so they...

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Happy for him. First time they got out of the group stage since 1986 I believe.. It's a shame that he has nobody to play with in attack. They could play with 2 strikers upfront, but I can understand why their coach prioritized the defence. There's not much quality in this team apart from the...

    If Yugoslavia still existed......

Even Greece won the Euros and nobody saw that coming. This Yugoslav team on paper is strong enough to win the Euros imo, but that is if their dressing room was united. It seems to be a mentality problem in the Balkans.

    World Cup 2022

They finally looked like the team that won Copa America, but then again Poland was never a threat. It's nice to see the youngsters contributing to this team and not expecting Messi&Di Maria to do everything. I'm not gonna say the match with Australia is already won, never doing that shit again...

    If Yugoslavia still existed......

Most of these players were in their prime not too long ago(say 3-4 years ago) so I had to include them. Modric from 10 years ago isn't considered better than the player of the last 3-4 years for example.. But I agree, If you include many players from 10 years ago they'd be even more stacked...

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

You could say that it's been one of his weaknesses throughout his career. Not the worst penalty taker(far from it) but it's 50/50 in crucial moments. The thing is Argentina don't really have decent PK takers. Di Maria isn't a specialist, and Lautaro missed about 30% of his penalties..

    World Cup 2022

Didn't expect Poland to play so defensive. They rivaled the likes of Chelsea 2012 and Atletico Madrid.. Szczesny unreal tho. It's crazy how many chances Argentina had.. Hopefully they don't go to sleep in the second half and win this.. or it could turn into a shitshow.

    If Yugoslavia still existed......

I was thinking about this the other day.. Every now and then I remember how much of a stacked team they would have.. Unless there would be a dressing room fallout, I'd bet seeing them go deep in world cups/euros. If Croatia made the semi-finals twice and then played a final in 2018, imagine how...

    World Cup 2022

It's actually very plausible now that I think about it.. But then, imagine both Spain and Costa Rica win, and you'll have one of Morocco/Costa Rica potentially facing Portugal in the quarters:benitez:

    World Cup 2022

Given the current situation, Argentina would be stupid to not try and win their game tonight. I don't see a better chance for them to get a "deep run" in the tournament. It's obvious that with their current football everyone can knock them out but still...

Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi

Several sources already saying that he's denied he has an ankle injury. Argentina captain Lionel Messi, during a post-match interaction after their win over Mexico in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, dismissed speculation that he suffered an ankle injury against Saudi Arabia. "I don't know why [people]...

Only a goal like that could open the mexican bus. Great inspiration from Leo, still a long way to go tho.

    World Cup 2022

First half was probably the worst I've seen at this World Cup. I kinda gave up on them to be honest, because this game was going nowhere with how predictable they were. Those goals really came out of nowhere though, and it's what you need on the big stage. Clutchness. Beautiful last goal...
