    Juan Manuel Mata

Mail and Telegraph reporting Mata already arrived in Manchester and will have his medical any time now. I agree. United's top 4 credentials will rely more on Rooney, RVP and Liverpool/Spurs crumbling. This position is not where United's problems stem from and not a position they need further...

    Juan Manuel Mata

The thing that came closest to being "official" was BBCSports reporting that Chelsea accepted the bid (although they also write that Chelsea and Moyes deny it, bit strange). Nothing confirmed yet.

    Radamel Falcao

Oh no, that's horrible. :( I feel for him, hopefully nothing that will threaten his career.

    Juan Manuel Mata

Yeah. Who knows, he might even take over United next season... :mou: Seriously though, I thought a few of his statements from this season sounded like he intended to stay long-term at Chealsea and "build something new". In which case all of this doesn't make sense. But then again, Mata might...

    Juan Manuel Mata

From Mourinho's perspective. It makes sense for this season, but if Mata is the decisive factor that gets United to qualify for CL football, Mourinho will have helped United becoming a title contender again next season. If they failed to qualify, they would probably struggle to get any big name...

    Juan Manuel Mata

Look like it's done. Still can't comprehend it.

    Juan Manuel Mata

Yes, but he was the one Sky Sports etc initially quoted on the matter.

    Mesut Ozil

No, but that particular quote I mentioned was ott. I don't even get it, if Wenger owes him dinner this would mean that Ancelotti did something for him which he didn't want or which caused him some trouble/effort - which doesn't apply for the Özil deal according to Ancelotti. If Özil just walked...

    Juan Manuel Mata

BBC is as reliable as it gets, but a bid doesn't mean Chelsea will accept it. Mou might still be only trolling.

    Franck Ribéry

Regardless of who deserved it more, the reason Ronaldo won was politics. The deadline extension and the way FIFA dealed with the hole thing was"politically" motivated. Ribery is right about that, and I must say I like that he's voicing it. About that "who achieved this before" bit, I think he...

    Juan Manuel Mata

Tbf most of your midfield targets, at least Reus and Koke, seem unrealistic though. Reus certainly won't move in the summer. Can't see Koke joining you either. Gündogan might be the most realistic, but you'll have to compete with RM and possibly Barcelona and even Chelsea for him.

    Juan Manuel Mata

It seems a big illogical though that Moyes would go for Mata seeing he rejected signing Özil because he "didn't need the position". I agree, and I wouldn't really trust Moyes to "have something in mind" that would work. But an injury to Oscar or Hazard would change a lot of things.

    Juan Manuel Mata

Yeah, it is a bit strange. Might be that he's sure he'll get Rooney in return, or that he plans to strengthen United to harm Arsenal and City. But of course he would strengthen United for next season as well, which means one title contender more. And Mata there might attract some otherwise...

    Juan Manuel Mata

Guardian now reporting that a 40m fee has been agreed. Not sure how much there is to it, all the papers are quoting "sources" but as I said, one of them is Balague. Knowing Mou he might just as well only be trolling though, to distract United's attention away from other possible deals for...

    Juan Manuel Mata

Tbh, the Sky Sports expert reporting about this and Mata's being "keen" to join United is Balague. ... Still might happen though. Would be clever by Mourinho, strengthening United to take points off of Arsenal, City or Liverpool while Chelsea already played them twice. Then again, Mata could...

    Mesut Ozil

I don't like how Welt write their articles (information recycling), but that article was alright and accurate on the quotes etc. The transfer and the campaign that followed was typical RM circus, good for Ozil that he's out of there. If Ancelotti doesn't miss him he should stop talking about...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

You mean like in the game against Leverkusen where he scored 5 goals and we won 7-0? ... This is what Leverkusen's Reinartz said after the game: "He's a bit strange. He often stands around on the pitch like a vegetable. You don't even think that he wants the ball or takes part in the game. But...
