    I am sure Diaz would have excelled here. The problem wasn't the player itself. But the price. For a well-run club, it's a fine. Yes they overpaid, but it doesn't really matter. For us broke bois, even a 10m price difference is make or break. Hence he didn't make sense to us.

    It hurts to have a midfielder like Gavi injured. He could have easily slot in two of those 3 slots. He would have been a better player to field in the last game, instead of Olmo. At this moment, we are lacking depth in the CM position.

    I was hoping we started with Eric as the LB. Marting just doesn't cut it in these high-level matches. And I think Christensen is needed in this defence. Flicks Man management was poor. He should have taken out Martin after Half TIme. Maybe even Cuba. Bringing Bernal was worse.

    Their fullbacks are key to their success. They are so immense that the front can overload the midfield, without worrying about making the pitch wide, and win the midfield easily. Our fullbacks weren't up to par against them. And our wingers didn't offer much in terms of pressing and recovery...
