    Frenkie de Jong

He's literally the only one that's consistently not just passing it to the next man. The only one taking it on his shoulders to make something happen.
  2. BusiTheKing

    Xavi Hernández

No criss-crossing runs, no dribbles, no nonsense. Just a predictable pass out for a cross. Lacks ambition.
  3. BusiTheKing

    Xavi Hernández

Have you noticed that whenever we are going forward with momentum for a counter attack, we always end up channelling it out to the wing for a conventional cross. There's this conservative mentality of taking the simple, "sensible" option instead of going for the bold, the cheeky, the...

    İlkay Gündoğan

He looks discouraged tho. Wouldn't have let Avila slide like that if he was playing for City. Play him in a normal midfield ffs.

La Liga Round 4: Osasuna - Barca 1-2

Gundogan's effort at their goal takes me back to the good old Rakitic/Iniesta midfield

La Liga Round 4: Osasuna - Barca 1-2

All Yamal's highlight actions for the youth teams come from inside positions. I think naturally he likes to go inside. Not saying it's Xavi's orders--more likely it's nervousness/modesty keeping him from commanding the center stage.

La Liga Round 4: Osasuna - Barca 1-2

Don't see the point of Yamal being glued to the touchline when we're up in the final third. Should be seeking inwards trying to get in dangerous situations.

    10 - Lamine Yamal

He actually looks quicker and more agile than I thought he would be. There was a point where looked sort of tall and lanky compared the kids around him and you imagined he would become more of a slow yet technical creator type. But now he looks poised to go past anyone. Not a sprinter but...

    Ansu Fati (loaned to Monaco)

injuries scrambled his mind/body connection. instincts off kilter. dead proprioception. guy simply looks awkward, unnatural out there. no balance, no poise, a sort of force that only works at certain angles. cash in.

La Liga Round 3: Villarreal - Barca 3-4

It really is impressive how little chemistry we have between our midfielders. Four of them in there and no-one wants to cook.

    8 - Pedri

Something tells me his place isn't at a top club. Kid looks like he is straining every fiber of his body to keep up with the movement of the game sometimes. Seems like the level is demanding too much of his body. You see other players sprint like they want it, head high, effortless strides. He...

    8 - Pedri

If I were to attribute it injury to anything, it would be improper pre-season strengthening. Not having worked up to full sprinting comfortably in training for example and then suddenly having to push the muscle in a match. He certainly looked like was taking it very relaxed in those pre-season...

    8 - Pedri

Muscles normally don't carry long term gradual damage like that. If it was an overworked knee or something, maybe.

If it's a slight tear you might not notice while the muscle is warm. Sting shows up in the next training, then medical scans, then official announcement.

La Liga Round 2: Barca - Cadiz 2-0

Pedri hasn't done a single thing except that pass that almost reached Kounde. Plus he missed a free header.

La Liga Round 2: Barca - Cadiz 2-0

Pedri and Gavi leave a creative void down the center. The former does too little, the latter does the wrong things.

La Liga Round 2: Barca - Cadiz 2-0

2 games in, 2 clear penalty snubs
  18. BusiTheKing

    Ansu Fati (loaned to Monaco)

Wasn't overhyped imo. My guess is he'd be our star player right now if it weren't for the injuries. Sad story but we should really sell if we can get decent cash for him.

    10 - Lamine Yamal

Wouldn't start him yet. Starting is a very different thing from coming on late in the game. These 65-min just-do-your-thing subs is a good way to build familiarity and confidence without too much pressure.
  20. BusiTheKing

    11 - Raphinha

Don't see this being a regular thing. That was some of the most frustrating shit I've ever witnessed, being rugby tackled everytime you make a run and the referee doing absolutely nothing about it. Plus tempers are always volatile in the first game.
