    Virgil van Dijk

Gomes was injured by Son last year and the reaction by people was completely different. Injuries happen. It's regretful they do but pickford had no choice but to come out and make him self big and go for that ball.

People are too easily swayed by the media.

    Virgil van Dijk

Yea there was no excuse for VVD. His was clearly a challenge designed to put a marker/slow James down/injure depending on how much of the benefit of the doubt you want to give. Pickford's wasn't even a tackle but a collision caused by his momentum carrying him into VVD after he was attempting...

    Virgil van Dijk

Tried to take James out in the first minute intentionally and now James is out for Southampton yet all the Liverpool fans are crying after he was injured in a 50/50.

    Premier League 2020/2021

It's a joke people are complaining about offsides. It's the one thing VAR can get right or at least as close to right every decision. Now for penalties I think it's a mixed bag, football is a contact sport and determining what contact is enough to warrant a penalty using slow mo on a TV screen...

VVD's tackle also lead to Deulofeu doing his ACL. Personally I thought it was just a coming together. It was a ball over the top with the keeper coming out and the player waiting for it to drop. Richarlison's tackle was no worse than plenty of theirs like Mane on Digne or Robertsons on Allan...

Happy with that derby. Thought we did well against one of the best teams in europe.

    Premier League 2020/2021

Top teams are far more open now relying on defenders to mark man to man rather than have a numerical advantage. It normally works because their strikers have the firepower to win a shootout but days like this can happen especially if the motivation isn't high.

    Manchester City

I still think City will finish 2nd just due to the cost of their squad but Pep has lost his magic. I think the players have lost belief they can win the games that matter against the big teams and as a result their motivation doesn't look to be there.

Any team with the players Utd have can hit a purple patch. It's the other times managers show their worth.

    Premier League 2020/2021

Utd have a very good team with a really shit manager. The fact they are looking at strikers and wingers instead of a CB tells you everything.

I can't believe Ole is still manager. I would have thought they would have got Poch before now.

    James Rodriguez

He's so good. I loved him at the world cup and every time I saw him for Real and Bayern but I have to say he's better than I even thought. He makes you realize the difference between decent players and top players plus he's bringing out the best in the rest of our players.

    Premier League 2020/2021

Yea he was v good to day and in fairness most days but can have the odd shocker that gives doubts. We have just bought another young CB on top of one bought at the end of last season who all are highly thought of so he will have to keep his standards high as Carlo loves Keane

    Wilfried Zaha

Real shame he's still at palace. Would have loved him at everton when it looked likely last season and he's definitely good enough to play for a top team.

    Premier League 2020/2021

I'm a little surprised Jose took over at spurs. They were a team in decline that never really were good enough that had a poor mentality and looked disinterested or wanting to leave. The only reason I think he went there was Harry Kane but he keeps getting injured. Plus Levey doesn't spend...

    Premier League 2020/2021

Not looking good for Jose but we have a great midfield now and a world class manager. I'm a bit worried about our bench but Allan is a monster.

    Lionel Messi - v7

You answered your own question. City will be expected to win the CL. That's what Messi expects every season and can you honestly see that happening if he stays and as you also said he's 33 so how many more chances will he personally get. btw Does anyone agree that season ended in June? So why...

    Lionel Messi - v7

Wow. This is a really good point. When you think about it for this reason alone this is the best time for Messi to leave. At City he will most likely play the role that David Silva played who coincidentally retired at the end of the season.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Maybe not Lukaku but I can definitely blame him for Deulofeu and Barkley plus he also didn't get on with Mane when he was at Southampton. I think Koeman tried to build a formation similar to the Barca Dream Team with Sigurdsson playing the Laudrup role but it didn't work. Of course at Barca he...
