    Sandro Rosell

You don't need to be a building professional to realise the Foster design is minging. On the subject of the Palau, the fabric of the building isn't fine, you can't even watch basketball properly from half of the stadium because of supporting pillars and poor sightlines from the entire upper...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

I think you misunderstood, Ducky is saying that back when SAF was hired there simply weren't foreign managers working in British football so nationality was never an issue. United won't have any qualms in appointing the best coach available to them, whatever his passport.

    Sandro Rosell

Well there's a large sector of the fanbase that thinks the Foster project is an abomination and no more than a monument to Laporta's ego. I would speculate that the word "impossible" relates to the financial state of FC Barcelona which is dubious to say the least and actually the plan is...

Look at the top left! "the players will have to be at [the training ground] !!!At nine o'clock!!! to have breakfast". How's that a headline!? Marca crack me up sometimes.

    10-11: Liga or CL?

I think it's different these days now that you can be champions of Europe without ever having been the best in your own country, for that reason I see the CL these days as still a massive prize but really just another cup competition in which a side that gets lucky on any given night can walk...

    10-11: Liga or CL?

Everybody would say both, that's bleedin' obvious, personally I always prefer to win the domestic league and then consider the cups. The CL always needs a massive amount of luck whilst you need to be consistently good over 38 games to win the league.

Everybody knows your first 5 don't count :p

    Joan Laporta

I actually think he has been one of the best president's in our history, whether by luck, judgement or financial lunacy he has brought us a golden era of success and we should all be grateful for that.
  9. Cule Angles

    Joan Laporta

When you say something is "best" that's an opinion. Fact.
  10. Cule Angles

    Joan Laporta

"best" is not a fact, that's an opinion. A fact is that he has been one of the most successful presidents (if not the most successful) from a sporting perspective in the club's history because that's a quantifiable statement.

    Sandro Rosell

Whilst I like a lot of what Rosell has to say I'm quite concerned about the massive division he's causing amongst the membership, a month or two ago I was certain I'd vote for him however now I'll be taking a very serious look at what Marc Ingla sets out as his vision for the club

    Real Madrid (old thread)

The highlight of their season was the new signings being introduced to a packed Bernabeu, they need something to take their minds off Barça's success.

Bugger, I was really hoping you'd screw up and let Higuain go. This is the strongest signal so far that Perez has learnt from his first stint as president (to an extent)

    Athletic Club

Yeah he's a decent player, plus he's Basque so he'll love the rough and tumble of the EPL

    Real Madrid (old thread)

I think I heard that at Chelsea he insisted on earning 1 pound more than the highest paid player or something like that. Anyway, gone by Christmas is my bet.
  16. Cule Angles

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Corriere dello Sport says 10m cash and 6m in player loans, however they're meant to calculate that. It doesn't seem that As & marca are telling the truth, obviously Perez is feeding them the story he wants the madridista public to hear.
  17. Cule Angles

    Camp Nou

I think only Jaume Ferrer would continue with the Foster project, Sandro has said very clearly that he'd abandon it in favour of this:

Yeah, Villa was willing to go to either last season, he obviously wants to win some important trophies whilst he still has the chance and I don't think anybody can blame him. In the end he's made the right choice, so he's a sensible lad really ;)
  19. Cule Angles

    How many goals for Villa?

    36. 2 in the supercopa, 26 in la liga, 7 in the CL and 1 in the copa

Footballers are generally lacking in education because the nature of the game demands they cease academic study at a very early stage. I'm not saying all footballers are stupid, just most, hence the word "generally".
