    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Sampaoli is way too extreme for the way Argentina plays. He demands every single player to press and that can take its toll on players. There's no way I expect 31 year old Messi and 30 year old Aguero to do such intense pressing.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Yeah, Sabella should be given a ton of credit for having such an organized defense. Even made the German defense look bad. Tata won't be able to handle the pressure. He would be bossed around by the players easily. They need a commanding figure as coach. It's a bit funny that everyone in the...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

2018 is his last chance IMO. Argentina FA should do everything to improve the team. Hire Simeone, Get rid of deadweight like Gago, etc. The time is now to improve for the future.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v3

Call me nuts but I think both barca and messi could benefit from him taking a long break. The guy looks absolutely exhausted and just not in full fitness. He needs about a year off to spend some time with his family and enjoy some other hobbies. I want to see the messi of 2011-2012 again. This...

Final: Germany - Argentina 1-0(ET) - Germany are WC Champions for the 4th time

I predict a really boring final, with both teams playing as tactically as possible. I expect the same type of game like Argentina vs Holland (in terms of the limited amount of space and such). Christian Vieri made the same prediction on the BeIN world cup report.

    David Luiz

Absolute Bullshit! His positioning is so bad to the point that it's embarrassing! Even in US high school soccer teams, the coaches always teach their kids to not make such boneheaded positioning errors.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

Agreed, but I really was impressed with the ball control and passing of Blind. Maybe I'm biased but these are two qualities that I, as a Barca fan, hold in high regard. Also, Vrij was supported a lot by his cb partner Vlaar. I have to also give credit to Vlaar when talking about Vrij.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

The only Dutch defender that really impressed me in this WC was Daley Blind. He had an absolutely amazing WC, from the very first game against Spain to the last game against Brazil. He should attract a lot of offers.

    3rd place match: Brasil - Netherlands 0-3

Scolari simply needs to go. The Brazilian Football Federation needs to be changed too. This team was horrible even compared to the one 4 years ago in South Africa.

    9 - Luis Suárez - v1

What does that exactly mean? If he bites then we cut his salary in half or something?

    Ángel Di María

Cannavaro won balon d'or in 2006 solely due to winning the world cup. Ronaldinho had a really good season but they still gave it to Cannavaro. If Argentina wins then Messi has a huge chance of winning it.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

Does this imply that Tello is leaving too?

    Claudio Bravo

Anyone else think he's a bit too good to be a benchwarmer? I just hope he gets a lot of chances during the season. I don't want to see Ter stegen playing every match. A Real Madrid type of GK rotation might work out well next season.

    Thomas Müller

Good footballer but his arrogant attitude makes me dislike him. You can just sense he's a dik on and off the pitch.

    Semifinal: Netherlands - Argentina 0-0 (2-4 pk)

The camel is :shit: Predicted the Germany-Brazil game wrong. It probably predicted Argentina-Holland incorrectly too. Octopus from 2010 is still the GOAT :worthy:

    2014 World Cup General Chat

Thank you Bernie and Flavia. It seems like the WC sponsors are really taking in huge profits. Crazy how these big companies always find illegal ways to make a profit

    Juan Guillermo Cuadrado

How I wish he would go to RM... he is exactly the opposite of what we need! Having one offensive FB is already enough (Alba). Adding in two offensive FB's is a disaster and can lead to losses ala Bayern 2013.

    Alexis Sanchez

Reports are saying that the fee might actually be 27 million pounds + incentives, which is roughly 34 mill euros
