    Lionel Messi - v7

Dani Alves at 32 had a season of his life in that treble season. He was for me the best RB Barca had, maybe ever...

His signings were terrible yes, but at least he had the balls to bench Pique and Alba.

    Lionel Messi - v7

All 11 players played a part in the loss, an 8-2 is not something that just happens. Like it or not Messi was the captain and hence the leader of the team that got battered worse than any other team in modern CL history. If you don't think this loss will have an effect on his legacy then you are...

    Lionel Messi - v7

Messis' longetivity is surely very impressive, that's something that no one can deny. I never said Maradona and Pele are without a doubt above him, but the arguments to put them above him are credible. Both of them had ample NT success whereas Messi's NT campaigns have been full of tragedies...

Even with my shit posts, I would have a hard time defending the team after losing 8-2. That's a scoreline that even PSG can't reach in farmer's league match against 20th place Toulouse.

I want to see the context of those interviews, but sure there are coaches like Wenger and players like Henry who will wholeheartedly say Messi is the GOAT. After a magical Messi moment, many players and coaches will be asked about their thoughts on Messi and all will compliment him and say he's...

Malvolio too, I'm convinced both will leave this forum immediately if Messi goes elsewhere.

 Good one, can't wait until you're back defending Messi and the amigos when we get thrashed by PSG or RM 10-2 in the next CL campaign

Like who? Most analysts I've heard unanimously put him above CR7, but in GOAT discussions there will always be arguments when comparing him to Maradona and Pele. There are valid arguments that those two have better achievements than him.

Nasser gives him and his dad whatever they want: money, hookers, absences from matches to party, fly back to Brazil whenever he wants, etc. No other top club would accept that.

No, more like opposite imo. If PSG wins he stays.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Definitely not, that's one of the bigger hot takes I've seen on this forum. R9 in his prime could barely play a full season without injuries. Messi 10-12, CR7 07-08 are better than any R9 and Romario season. Messi is on the highest echelon of legends, with CR7 closely following him.

I do not see Pep wanting him in City at all. All their outfield players put on a shift for 90 mins. Could really see it being PSG if they get hammered in the final or Inter since their new project looks promising. Both Ligue 1 and Serie A are less physical and easier than EPL too.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Truth is no one knows anything in this forum. We are all speculating and discussing, hence why it's a forum. The truth will be revealed a few years from now when most from the current squad will be gone and there will be a new president. We will know the truth if Barto really is as horrible as...

    Lionel Messi - v7

I personally see this is as the most likely probability. I hope and pray Koeman is not a doormat like Valverde and Setien and told him, "sorry messi, but it's going to be a new squad next season."

    Ronald Koeman

Feel sorta bad for him. He has no clue how much drama there is in our locker room. Season is starting in three weeks and he hasn't managed to get rid of any amigos. If they're permabenched, a storm will brew behind the scenes.

    Lionel Messi - v7

I just hope this isn't some power play by Messi because it would look very petty. If he's truly unhappy and doesn't see a proper rebuild occurring with Koeman, he needs to leave. IMO, it's better for his career too if he can manage to win a league title or CL with another club.

Oil clubs could easily buy out his contract since they're so obsessed with him. Don't think he would want to play in either City or PSG though.
