A good press can work with 9 players. It's not unusual to leave your star player up top with lesser pressing duties. Under Klopp, Salah used to stay forward even though he's a hardworking player. Klopp deliberately gave him instructions to stay high. And Klopp is the master of gegenpressing...

Yeah but RB is a far more replaceable position than star forward or main CB. Trent is a unique, outstanding footballer but Salah and VVD make the players around them better which is very rare. Hopefully Trent stays but we'll manage if he doesn't.
