I agree that Xavi is the most important player for us but yesterday we missed Villa more than anyone. We didn't have a problem creating chances, we just couldn't finish.

Scored against Athletic Bilbao. His price tag was 1/10 Villa's but he's scored just as many goals.

He was certainly good but a few years back when he started receiving the spotlight some people expected him to become the next big thing...I mean he certainly had the potential but it seems like he didn't really improve much over the last couple years, but maybe this is his year?

He wouldn't make my top ten for the decade either. In no particular order, Nesta, Cannavaro, Maldini, Thuram, Puyol, Samuel, Ayala, Carvalho, Lucio, Stam, Ferdinand, Vidic are all better. He might make top 15 though. Also honorable mention to Chygrynskiy

Yep, when they showed the replay and paused it you couldn't see the defender at the far end so it looked offside but when he started making the run and the camera followed him you could see a defender (probably RB) strolling around at the other side of the pitch
