Jesus, I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.

    Ronaldinho

    What a fall from grace.

    Xavi Hernández

I think you just picked the wrong vocabulary. If you said "under-par" to mean that he wasn't as good as 08/09 season, that's really misleading. If a player has to perform as well as Xavi did during 08/09 season, no one is going to be up to par, ever. Yes, he wasn't as good as 08/09 season, but...

    Xavi Hernández

Admittedly he had a slow start last season but his season over-all was in no way "under-par". Inconsistent? I wouldn't agree. He was amazing all season bar perhaps the first couple months, and even then he was still decent. And you seem to get frustrated pretty easily whenever people don't...

    Xavi Hernández

Xavi was not under-par last season. This season, maybe. We'll see.

    David De Gea

United recently signed a new keeper, I guess that means they won't get de Gea?

    9 - Samuel Eto'o

+1 Spain is basically Barcelona without Messi...and guess who the world champions are? Messi is our main finisher, yes. But we have other players that can take up that role just as well if he were to miss a match, like Villa. Btw I'm not saying Inter are crappy (it's best not to pay too much...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Didn't we already talk about this? There is no video, just some image from Madrid press that doesn't prove anything. It doesn't make sense for him to do that anyway.

    Lionel Messi .v. Cristiano Ronaldo

To be fair, assists are defined in various ways so one source isn't necessarily right or wrong.

    14 - Javier Mascherano

I'd drop Villa. Bring him on early in 2nd half depending on how things go.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

It could very easily go either way. This is the first time in many years that Real Madrid and Barcelona are almost exactly equal in strength. Too bad I will miss it since it's on early afternoon on Monday here in the US :banghead:

    Aaron Ramsey

Fabregas is injured 24/7 so I reckon he'll get enough chances.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

I'm not saying UEFA should or should not suspended Alonso and Ramos, all I'm saying is that it's happened before and it's not something new. They probably don't have substantial enough evidence to suspend them, since none of them explicitly said that they did it on purpose...but it's been done...

No one is shitting in their pants or panicking. Try not to be aggressive to make your argument look stronger, you're making yourself look less intelligent than you actually are. Don't think you understood my post. If Guardiola wanted Alves for the Clasico, all he had to do was bench him...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

You're a bit behind...no one is denying that they got booked on purpose. We're arguing whether or not they should be punished for it.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

That doesn't really make sense though. If Guardiola wanted Alves to be free for el Clasico, he would have just benched him against Bilbao. The only way that Alves was going to miss el Clasico was IF HE PLAYED AGAINST BILBAO AND GOT BOOKED...if Guardiola REALLY wanted Alves for el Clasico, all he...
