Torres back in Liverpool today, began training

Felt for them so much during that Portugal match, I knew that type of thing would happen. Really sad, and it doesn't look like something that will change soon. The entire country has such blind faith in their "great leader", is there any type of resistance movement at all? None that I have heard of.

yeah I wish he'd grow up and stop diving, eventually the refs are going to learn his reputation and stop giving him the calls. But as a player skill-wise, I think he suits us well and can only get better.

Xabi wasn't BAD, the thing was he didn't fit in with the Barca boys style of play in the midfield so what he was doing didn't always work out. In the end I think Cesc would have been a better starter in his place. And Busi did just fine. :)

I don't like their political stance, and I don't think they should use Barca as a means to further their agenda. But I've talked to one of them and he was a nice guy so whatever. You stupid 8 year old LA kid, SAN JOSE FOR LIFE! Somehow that doesn't sound right :lol: That's a horrible story...

Oh lord yeah, I have never seen a fight at a match here, worst I have seen is people booing someone supporting the opposition... which unless you're overly sensitive isn't bad compared to other countries where you can get beaten up or worse if someone decides they don't like you. Even in England...

DM do you know of Javier Robles? He's an Argentine midfielder who is on the Earthquakes but he's only been played twice, I was just wondering if he's actually any good

I think in some areas the interest has grown, LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders already had a pretty big fan base that is getting bigger. NY Red Bulls will probably grow too. There is still no one at Earthquakes games though, they have a small stadium but even then it's not like it sells out...

This is what I'm reading in other places: I'm still thinking about going actually since even though they're Madrid, it's not every day they're in my hometown, but I would really only want to go if the majority of their first team is there. I will be surprised if there aren't any pics of him...

Where did you see that list? Because I've been reading a completely different one elsewhere with Casillas, Xabi, Higuain, Arbeloa, etc

No sponsor unless it's absolutely necessary, i.e. a hole that would be impossible to get out of without one. It would just seem wrong otherwise.

I still think he'll stay too, I still have that hope, but left and right the fans are giving up and that just makes me sad. I believe nothing until Torres says "I want to leave" and/or puts pen to paper on another contract. I'm pretty sure that no matter what though that he'll stay in the EPL...

You don't understand, if they sell him it's not because of money or because they are worried about form but because Torres would want to leave. Of course they're going to slap a huge price tag on him so they benefit from his sale, but they have made it clear many times that he isn't for sale...
