The penalty thing is kind of strange, last year madrid got a bunch of them in the first half while Barca got nearly a penalty every game after february/march. Yet now we rarely get one again, thought last nights faul on iniesta was a penalty. It does show the difference between messi and the rest.

He has been extremely good recently, works as hard as puyol or Pedro and still is mixing up in attack often while also defending well. 'He has adjusted to the team so easily, I hope his lack of rest in the summer wont break him up in the spring.

So realistically which defenders are out there that can solve this problem? he needs to have skills, speed and decent heigh, and dont say kompany or thiago silva cause they wont come. I really think with one great cb the problem could be solved.

Its not messi's fault though? Busi, mascherano and him were the only ones who played really well that season. Without messi saving barca every game it would have been a similair season as 07/08, lets just hope the supporting cast is better this season and we have a bit more luck.

I have never seen a penalty go that high. That one got guys like becks, ramos or stam making fun of it.
