    Frenkie de Jong

@serghei Quoting myself, but, this was it. Today's game is what I (and probably some others) talked about. The team wasn't supporting, but he made things happen. Showed desire and ability on his own. Very happy for him!

    8 - Pedri

It's a tough one. The problem is that I see both of them as interiors, the setup giving them such roles would make them thrive. Pedri is that type of a player I love. He's gifted as hell, quick witted and disciplined enough. Puig on the other hand has a flair like noone in the team. It's like...

La Liga | Round 13: FC Barcelona - Levante 1-0

The scoreline isn't great, but I'd say it wasn't a poor match for our terrible standards. Could've scored a couple more.

    8 - Pedri

Been a while since he's performed this well. Shouldn't be counted on on regular basis, but he's a gem.

La Liga | Round 13: FC Barcelona - Levante 1-0

If we got Senna holding the wheel, but we're stuck with Fat Tintin

You might not believe it, but we won.

La Liga | Round 13: FC Barcelona - Levante 1-0

What was Messi thinking there few minutes ago? Should've passed Pedri earlier. Was a nice timed run. But if he did, he wouldn't have made it for the return ball.. there's that.

    Frenkie de Jong

Very happy to see him play well today. Shows he cares. Also, the team doesn't follow, lets him down.. but it shows he CAN perform even in an unorganized team. This is where the bar must be set.

    Mavericky Puig

Cover for De Jong to do what exactly? His trips high up the field bring next to nothing. Takes plenty of time to choose, not that much of a sharp passer. He's better suited for a deeper role. Of course, should take a chance when one presents itself, but not force it like now.

    Ronald Koeman

Hard to believe, considering your post history. Not talking about the age, btw.

    Frenkie de Jong

Saying he's a top player for what he showed at Ajax is, to put it mildly, a stretch. Altogether, it's been one good season. Very few games against the elite, say 10. And not all of them good, Bbz was on a pattern. Struggled against different types. None of this means he's poor or unworthy of a...

    How to approach the rebuild

The window (if I got it right) closes 1st of February. Don't know how long it could take to verify the results, hope they don't follow american example. If Tusquests' hands are tied, pretty condifent we won't be making any signins this winter. Sure, didn't think about some major signings...

    How to approach the rebuild

Will we be able to sign anyone this winter considering the upcoming elections?
  14. Joan

    Frenkie de Jong

Put an average Joe in an above average team and he'll look decent. But he's showing almost no exceptional traits. From what we're seeing now, those few matches in which he shone for Ajax could've been a fluke.

    1 - Marc-Andre ter Ansplant

Why do you keep mentioning Roberto alongside Mats and De Jong? Don't know a single poster who finds him elite. He's nothing but a useful player. The reason he played all the time? We had noone better for the job.

    Frenkie de Jong

Silly question. Don't you remember that match he played against RM 2 years ago, when he looked solid?
  17. Joan

    Trincão

Shouldn't be at Barca atm. He's got potential, but too timid to handle the pressure. Loan him out, but not before the summer anyway.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Would anyone even sign him for sporting reasons solely right now? Are we stuck with him?

Late home so missed the beginning. Might just as well miss the rest.
