To be honest though, despite the whole thing being fishy, he still deserves it more than Ribery. And since it shuts up everyone who justifies his win about 2010 and 12, it works out in the long run.

Some of you guys are too bitter and care too much about some award, give some credit where its due. Him winning it doesnt change much how the Messi vs Ronaldo debate is viewed in the grand scheme of things.

There is a postive side to Ronaldo winning, it takes away any argument the cr7 fanboys had over any of Messi's 4 ballon d'ors. Also imagine the constant whining if Messi actually had won it this year while being injured so much?, its better this way. Hopefully he will shine in 2014 again and...

Yeah, the price isnt just an award for 2013 imo but also for his overall concistency and dedication to the game.

I hve no problem whatsoever with cr7 winning it, just hope he is humble in victory for once rather than his douchy self.

It just means he is selfish and takes every half chance as an opportunity to pad the stats. However one on one would you bet on him missing? despite that conversion rate he is a quality finisher with great positioning, just plays for himself and takes way too many shots, especially in games like...

I think Ronaldo's talent is underrated, you cant take a kid who cant play football well and say "hey train non stop and you will become the best player in the world", doesnt work that way. He was always going to be a quality player, his hard work just made him a much better one and keeps him on...
