Transfers and Rumours - old thread

Please no. From what I've heard, he's worse than Mascherano. The good news is, Chelsea probably won't sell him. Didn't we make a big offer for him last summer? More good news, we've been linked to Hummels quite a bit recently. Really hope we go for him instead of David Luiz.

    Champions League 12/13

I think Valencia might be able to get a tie or maybe even a win in their own stadium. They're gonna lose in Paris though.

    Countering the Parked Bus?

Tbh, I don't think it was (entirely) Chelsea's or Celtic's tactics that beat us, but our finishing. Those were definitely not our nights, in terms of finishing at least. Especially the Chelsea game. We created some great chances despite the bus, but, again, it was a bad game for us in terms of...

    Real Madrid vs Manchester United

Why do people here hate United so much? I mean, I'm all for shutting the EPL fanboys/the "La Liga sucks" crowd up, but I'm not gonna support RM over Man U.

Transfers and Rumours - old thread

David Luiz? I hope there isn't much credibility to that. Good thing Chelsea probably won't sell him. Didn't we offer 30m or something for him last year? I'm not sure what's funnier, the fact that we offered that much, or the fact that Chelsea didn't accept it.

    Neymar - v2

I don't think Suarez became the PL's 2nd top scorer Alexis-style finishing. Still though, I'm not sure I'd want him at Barca. I've heard that he has a bad temper. So he could be a walking red card. And, like you mentioned, the selfishness would be an issue as well.

    Gareth Bale

Bale and Falcao are good, but they're not Ronaldo. I don't think anyone can replace Ronaldo, except Messi himself. Not to mention I don't see Atletico selling them Falcao. If Falcao goes, it'll probably be to Chelsea. IMO, RM are gonna get Cavani if Ronaldo leaves. They're probably gonna try to...

    Gareth Bale

LB's taken by Alba, LW's taken by Iniesta. He'd be on the bench. Same goes for Real Madrid (Marcelo, Ronaldo). I can see Real getting him + Cavani if Ronaldo leaves though.

    Isaac Cuenca

He'll be a good player to add depth to the squad. Not sure if he'll be a starter any time soon though. Especially considering that we have so many wingers and that Deulofeu's coming soon (and possibly Neymar/another forward).

    Cristian Tello

We do need to have depth. So I like having a bigger team.

    David Villa

Hope he gets well soon. By when do you guys reckon he'll be back?

    David Villa

Damn he's gotta be the unluckiest guy in the world. Dude can't catch a break.

Which forward should leave in the summer?

Goodbye 16 point lead, hello 16 point deficit. And goodbye entertaining attacking football, hello boring Mouball. Casillas and Ramos would be good buys though. Yup, he's clearly past it. Sell him before his value drops any further.

Which forward should leave in the summer?

Alexis. Even if he does keep playing like he did today, he's not as good as the others.

    Isaac Cuenca

Nice. He should get quite a bit of much needed playing time and be awesome by the time he goes back to Barca. Good move.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

Tbh, I think the only real reason Messi is scoring less goals is more because of his recent dip in form than anything else. He should be back on form soon enough.

    Real Madrid vs Manchester United

I think Man U are the favorites. Real Madrid have been good at home recently but shit in away games.

    Iker Casillas

Put in a bit for Casillas. Once they reject it, put in a bit for Ramos. And then once that's rejected, one for Ozil. And in the unlikely event that that bid succeeds, have talks with Ozil until the end of the transfer window and then go "nah, just kidding" 10 seconds from the transfer deadline...

    David Villa

According to that logic, the only consistent scorer in the world is Messi. And even he's had games in which he hasn't scored (like the game against Celta). But you have a good point there. Villa should be used a little more though.

    Isaac Cuenca

Do you guys think he'll be a regular starter for Ajax? I know fuck all about Ajax (besides what I've heard about them playing a similar style to us), so yeah.
