Can Barca make it to the finals of the CL?

It's how we lost that I'm pissed about. We've never been outplayed like this. Bayern are a great team, and the best in the world atm but we shouldn't lose 4-0 to anyone, especially with players like Messi and Iniesta on the team. We're definitely nowhere near as good as we were in 2009 or 2011...

    14 - Javier Mascherano

Barcastuff: Because he recovers faster than planned, it's not yet totally ruled out that Mascherano (knee) could play against Bayern this week. [terra]

    Jordi Alba

I think a new CB and bringing back the pressing should be enough. I can see Alves/Alba working with a new CB and better pressing.

    Cesc Fàbregas

I think we need to keep him on the bench for now. Which I don't think is a particularly bad thing, while he was expensive, he does give us depth.

    Cesc Fàbregas

Iniesta can't score. I can see Thiago working there though.

    Gerard Piqué

We are a world class team. We're no longer the best team in the world (though I can see that changing next season), and we have our problems, but we are a world class team. Nothing more, nothing less. Anyways, I don't think he needs to be benched. I think we need to find the right partner for...

    Barca Forum Prediction League 2012/13

    Barca 6-1 Bayern (hopefully :D)

    Gerard Piqué

He usually does well with the right partner, i.e. Puyol or Ramos. Which is why I can think he can be a lot better next season, once we get a new world class CB to pair him with.

    Isaac Cuenca

He should be loaned again next season IMO, since he needs more playing time.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

His 1st goal against Milan was better IMO.

    Alex Song

IF Busquets is not 100% fit. If he is, I'd start Busquets any day. Remember, Busquets wasn't in great form before the Milan game, but he was still amazing in that game. Same goes for Xavi (who was also coming right back from an injury).

    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

I agree for the most part, especially with the last statement. Messi's not our only amazing player though, we also have Iniesta, Xavi (while he's not quite as good as he used to be, he's still one of the best midfielders in the world), Busquets (arguably the best CDM in the world), Alba...

    Jordi Alba

Yup. I can understand the hate on players who have been underperforming all season, like Sanchez, Pedro, Pique and Alves (though he has had some great games), but this is getting ridiculous.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v2

Messi to score 6 goals in the last 30 mins against Bayern to make it 6-1 :messi: You heard it here first.

    9 - Luis Suárez - v1

I can see Suarez being more disciplined under the right manager. Anyways, his temper is a problem, but I think he'd be a really good buy if we get him. He can play as a striker and (I believe) on both wings, exactly what we'll need if Villa leaves. Not to mention he's arguably the best player...

    Xavi's replacement?

Who do you think should be Xavi's replacement? Personally, I think it should be Thiago.
  17. darthvader7888

    Sergio Busquets

I think his poor form lately could be related to the injury. Song is nowhere near as good as a fit Busquets (not downplaying Song's abilities), but I'd definitely start him against Bayern next week over an injured/not fully fit Busquets.
  18. darthvader7888

    Thiago Silva

Yup. The more I think about it, the more I think that Silva could be an amazing signing, even if he is 28 and costs around 40m. I do think we should get a wonderkid to be an eventual replacement if we get Silva though, since he's not getting any younger. However, I also think that that can wait...

    Should Barca keep Tito?

Don't forget the Milan game. But yeah, we have needed individual brilliance quite a bit.

Can Barca make it to the finals of the CL?

Apparently, Messi said that it's possible: http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/barcelona-sueprstar-lionel-messi-says-the-club-can-overturn-bayern-munichs-four-goal-ucl-advantage/story-e6frf423-1226629419427#.UXrHsIKV1JM And I remember reading somewhere that Iniesta said that they'll play as if...
