    Premier League 25/26

It was obvious that Arsenal were playing within themselves against United and letting them have the ball and - as expected - they're dominating Leeds at home. I am like that with loads of football these days. Maybe it's becoming older and more cynical but I just find a lot of football boring...

He's obviously a legendary striker. But I feel he's no better than guys like Hazard, Salah, Bale, Benzema, Suarez, Robben, Ribery as talents (imo worse) yet gets treated like he's a level above all them forwards. There's people out there who consider him player three after Messi and Ronaldo in...

La Liga Round 2: Levante - Barca 2-3

Looks a good team. Not first choice 11 but close enough, and maybe rotating players to keep them fresh, even this early in the season.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

That's why I said yes, as there's levels to legendary. He's a legend in the sense he might scrape into the top 10 strikers ever (probably not for me). Even 11-20 is legendary. And you'd be surprised - admittedly they are lost causes, but I have seen a fair amount people saying he's as good as...

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Yes...but some people say he's as good as or better than guys like R9, Puskas, Pele (if you call him a CF), Muller, Van Basten, Romario...which is clearly absolute bollocks.

Btw I am not hating on Lewa. I acknowledge he's one of the best strikers of his generation, even the last 30 years. But I think he gets an easy ride for some of his failures, and that fanboys like Temptation take a top player like him and go completely overboard about him. There's people out...

    Bundesliga

That's what I mean - they were big clubs and are now feeders for Bayern. Bayern always ruled that league but nowhere near as pronounced as now. As you say, it isn't even like it's a smaller league ruined post Bosman. It's a big country with the largest economy in Europe. They can support more...

No that's not true. It isn't just Real Madrid fans. Maybe I have spent too much time laughing at clueless modern internet fans, but they all seem obsessed with the CL no matter who they support.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

I know they are. But my point is that most fans (admittedly clueless, internet fans) see the CL as the biggest thing in club football by far. In their eyes it's good to win La Liga if you're Barca or Real, but much much better to not win it and win the CL instead. I don't necessarily agree.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

Most fans at least judge absolutely everything by it. It's always about how many CLs a team wins. It's given far more prestige than winning any league in Europe, with the exception of the PL. And that's only because there's so many EPL fanboys.

I like serghei but he cannot see beyond stats, often out of context.

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

The issue with that is that the CL is now the holy grail, and pre 1992 (not just for Barca, but all clubs) it wasn't treated as the pinnacle of club football. It was also much harder to qualify for pre CL era. You have to factor into account the mentality of the CL being the be all and end all...

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

The bar is always set low where Lewandowski is concerned, to be fair. Like Cristiano Ronaldo, people praise him when he does the bare minimum.
