Transfers and Rumours - old thread

We need a starter to replace Puyol, we can't rely on him any more. Wouldn't mind Marquinhos or Martinez if we can rely on them to start in the big games, at least by the time the first half of the season is over. There's a good chance of that not happening though (it took Varane a season and a...

    Champions League 12/13

I would have liked it if he challenged himself a little more. Perhaps with the Man U job? Oh well.

    Champions League 12/13

Dortmund dominated the first half (especially the first 30 mins or so), but the better team won IMO.

    Champions League 12/13

Imo, Dortmund have been the better team (surprisingly). Bayern have gotten better in the last 15 mins or so, but still, Neuer's saved their asses quite a few times. Tbf though, Dortmund did get lucky on a couple of occasions (like Robben choking as usual when he went one on one with Weidenfeller).

    Neymar - v2

Isn't 7 more of a forward number though? I'd give it to Neymar and let Thiago keep the 11.

    Champions League 12/13

Nothing was going to stop them? They were outplayed by Barca and Bayern (struggled against Benfica and Napoli too) and were extremely lucky to win the CL. Not to mention they were shit in the league. It wasn't "their year," they just got extremely lucky. Not to mention Bayern outplayed RM in...

    Champions League 12/13

Really? Chelsea were shit that season (6th in the league IIRC), they were extremely lucky to get past Barca (hell, they struggled against Benfica and Napoli), and Bayern outplayed RM in the semis. Dortmund definitely have a better chance than Chelsea did imo.

    Champions League 12/13

Bayern are a lot better than they were last year, but this year's Dortmund are also a hell of a lot better than last year's Chelsea. Saying that Dortmund have a better chance than Chelsea did last year isn't really saying much though

    Champions League 12/13

Well, they have a much better chance than Chelsea did last year, that's for sure

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

I think the club should try getting a mutual agreement with Tito, like RM did with Mou.

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

You have a point, but proven > not proven. I wouldn't automatically write someone off for not being proven either, but it's a disadvantage. On the flip side though, it could be an advantage that coaches like Pellegrini, Simeone and Laudrup have done so well at smaller clubs with infinitely...

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

The only question is, who should we get to replace him? These would be good choices IMO: Heynckes (if he doesn't retire) He's leaving Bayern and he did an amazing job with them this season. His Bayern side play possession football like we do, he's familiar with La Liga, and said he's very...

    Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

Like I've said before, I don't have anything against him and respect him as a person for beating cancer and all, but he isn't up for the job and needs to go. Tactics and motivation have been big problems for us this season, especially in big games. Guess who's job those are? Remember the away...

    Neymar - v2

Our attack relies too much on Messi and failed in a lot of big games. The issues in attack are partly tactical, but a new forward would definitely be nice. Especially considering that there's a good chance of Villa leaving.

    Neymar - v2

The two offers Santos has received and between which Neymar will have to choose are from Barcelona and Real Madrid. [lance] How reliable is that source?

    Neymar - v2

It seems to me that every report says something different. One day it's 20m for 55% of his rights, the next day, it's for 100%

Transfers and Rumours - old thread

Tbf, they've moved to a team that has a good chance of being a title contender in one of the top 5 leagues (especially if they get Falcao). I don't think it's as bad as Hulk moving to Zenit.
