This is just a tricky situation tbh. The Pros are Rakitic (washed up) and Cou (Bad fit) leaving. The cons ofc are paying an exorbitant fee for an older and possibly injury prone Neymar. I guess the only reasons they are demanding so much is because Rakitic is worth so little.

I honestly haven't seen much of Carlos Perez to say that he can work at CF. When we can't play out from the back, we need someone upfront who can hold the ball until everyone else joins the attack and who can also drag defenders out of position to create space for the other players, Greizmann...

If I had my way, Valgreen, Busi, Raki, Suarez would all be gone at the end of last season. Or Suarez, Busi stays but have their roles significantly reduced to strictly supporting players off the bench.

Valverde is partly responsible for the entitlement with these guys. He puts the seniors on a pedestal. That’s why Rakitic knows he doesn’t have to fight for a spot. No matter how bad he plays his position is guaranteed.

Rodri is quality, I don’t know why we didn’t make him a priority. Frenkie-Rodri-Arthur would have been a solid midfield.
