I get the feeling they could recreate a three-man midfield of prime Rijkaard, Matthaus and Xavi and they'd still not be able to control games. They're a disaster.

You can't play 2 man midfields in elite football now, especially when one of them is Fernandes. Their options in midfield are a raw Mainoo, a past is Casemiro, and a woeful Ugarte. How they haven't bought a midfielder is anyone's guess. But they are so incompetent.

Their fans think Mount really helps the system, don't get it myself. He's functional maybe. Cunha is a quality player but at the same time it remains to be seen if he and Mbeumo can go up a level. I do rate them both as good players, though.
