I'm fairly optimistic about how we'll do under this guy, although I am concerned about the fact that we didn't get a CB (and seemingly won't get one). The big teams will be the true test, but he's been great so far.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I think signing a guy like Mathieu would be a stroke of genius or anything like that. In fact, I think him (or someone similar) being our CB signing would be pretty bad. Signing Matheiu would, however, be better than signing no one, since someone like him would...

I wonder why... maybe it's because one of our starting CBs is 35 years old and almost always injured? And even if all players are fit, our options aren't that good. Pique's been out of form for 2 seasons and Masch is not a CB. As for Puyol, not only is he almost always injured, but he's also...

It's not really that I'm happy with anyone, more that I think anyone's better than nothing.
