you guys want a whole host of rested players but this is a trap game. also resting too much disrupts the positive momentum. fitness is not a problem for us so we can just play a similar eleven mostly.

Veratti, Pogba and Koke are all unrealistic imo for various reasons. Pogba is the most attainable but he'll cost a lot. I wouldn't mind looking elsewhere if it means avoiding a thiago silva type situation.

Veratti is a tempo keeper while Pogba is an attacking player with unpredictability. So it's depends on what midfield balance you are looking for. Pogba fills Iniesta's role more like for like but with a different flavour. Or we could get Marco and tell rakitic to make the forward runs more...

Actually we have always been a Galactico type club apart from a few brief periods.

Saul would be a good player for our squad, and will develop into a good Keita type player. Our main midfielder instead of iniesta is a tricky one to call.

Scottish football had a few good players in that time period. Gascgoine, van bronckhorst, gattusso, lambert, klos, albertz, sutton etc etc

Why not go for a cheaper midfielder like Saul Niguez?
