    Xavi Hernández

Football been bad since he was found out last season. Going into extremes here but it's close. Hasn't adapted one bit since.

At least it's not all bleak for us.

Laporta had a good instinct when he didn't want Xavi. One of the reasons I fancied him for the job. Shame he gave in and brought Xavi from Qatar.

And one of the best managers happens to be on the market.

Tough luck we faced a Mourinho led Inter with Etoo upfront. Or did we?

Would take Alba over him any day of the week and twice on Wednesday.

Other than being a Barca legend, has nothing going for him. I don't see any upside. Cut the losses and move on.

Let's call a spade a spade. A coached team doesn't play like Barca plays. Not to mention a well coached team. His tactics don't work, his subs are bad, has no flexibility, players don't thrive under him. What false hope are we clinging to?

I'm not denying it, but Kounde was torn between Barca and uninspiring Tuchel. And almost went there if not for some last minute intervention. It's not like Xavi discovered Kounde in Qatar and brought him with him to Europe. He might've preferred Xavi's project, liked his views on football, but...

CL Round 3: Inter - FC Barcelona 1-0

Yeah, Xavi needs more time for us to judge properly. Things didn't go his way with injuries and pens denied. But he shouldn't feel safe, and needs to step up.

But I'm afraid we might lose Ferran if Xavi left. They have a real bond. Now we can't let that happen. I'm retracting.

I think you are overrating Xavi's influence. Lewa is a top professional who has worked under numerous coaches, Kounde was torn between Barca and Chelsea, and Raphinha was drawn to Barca, not Xavi. For Dembele you might have a case because Xavi builds his project around him. Those players won't...

    Xavi Hernández

I don't think it's all about results. But at the moment we're lacking at both ends. No plan, poor tactical setup, no flexibility, and poor results in the CL. If he started showing promise in the other half of the season, sure we'd have to reconsider and reevaluate. I don't say we should sack him...

I think Iniesta has more sense than to take a job he's nowhere near ready for.

What happens to them? Kounde has a contract till 2027, Lewa stays, and we're negotiating with Dembele to extend. Xavi was backed to do a rebuild, got most of his wishes granted, and the club was among the highest spenders in Europe. Another season in the EL is a clear failure of the project...

I'm also in favour of sacking him if we go out. Xavi has had some success, but there's always been a question whether his work was sound. If we go out, replace him with Tuchel.

CL Round 3: Inter - FC Barcelona 1-0

We've come a long way, but still gotta field Roberto and Alonso FB pairing in an important CL match away from home. I'd take a draw in Milan.

    Franck Kessie

Clubs rarely make profit on player they got for free unless they impress. We made profit on Auba, but he reinvented his career here. Came to Barca as a has been, and left as a useful striker in the bad market.
