Why would anyone pay 45m for a 31 year old with injury problems? He's an amazing player but why would anyone pay that much for 1 year of service?

He's got one or two years left at the top level, as good as he is no team with any sense would pay £45m for that.

£45m for Xavi is probably too much considering he's 31 and injury prone.

Carrick is not worth that much and Hernandez (I refuse to call him Chicharito) and probably Vidic is worth more.
