I think both Messi and Ronaldo will end up with 50+ goals this season. What we see here is something phenomenal. And if Barca or Real wins CL this year, it will mean a Ballon d'Or for sure.
This is the curse of being a defender, Bojan. Most of the people don't appreciate your work as much as they're enjoying their strikers' goals, but in most of the cases there is no match in the wage structure, too.
DEBATE: If Alves is going, what we should do on the market?
I didn't know where exactly to put this one, so you could move it if you want.
Anyway. Yesterday Daniel Alves rejected one of the many offers for a new contract made by FCB, which is again putting his future at Camp Nou under a huge...
I imagine it as something like this:
1) Gai coming at City: players, fans and staff saying "who's that?"
2) Gai leaving City: players, fans and staff saying "who was that?"
I don't know really what he hoped for with signing for City.
He won't be earning as much as Villa. As Puyol - yes.
Our wage scale is like this:
1. Messi
2. Xavi, Iniesta, Villa
3. Puyol, Pique, Valdes
From what I see Alves have been offered with a place at scale #3, which he obviously refused.
So, we're probably going to see him as a forward today. I'm curious to see his actions as a winger, after Pep have already used him as a midfielder. Maybe he's searching the best spot on the pitch for him? This versatility is looking useful for the team.
At least this sounds encouraging, coming from the mouth of Pep. It's good to know that Thiago's qualities are appreciated and the right people see the "special" thing in him. He's not average like GDS, so it's an important task for the future to keep him here and turn him into what all of us are...
I have a feeling that Pep has different plans about Thiago and Afellay. Even if Afellay is going to be used as a midfielder (and not as a winger, as we thought), so far he looks like a Keite type of a hard worker, which is not very similar to Thiago's more creative and offensive nature.
But...
@ this video - the moment after 2.00 was his best. The way he ran across the whole pitch to provide an option on the wing to Bojan, I mean - how Ray said, this overlapping was just spectacular. Good job yesterday. We were talking that we're going to use him as a winger, but last evening he...
