He could be the controller of the future though, worth a shot. All those that complain about Barca not playing nice football need to realise its not possible until this type of player is in the squad, he could be that guy
Barca weren't even defensive in the first half, only in the second half when atletico started pushing many men forward. Valverde then smartly played on the counter and Barca could have won by 3-0 or more if Suarez and Messi didn't ruin every counter attack.
This forum is full of entitled kids with no grip on reality, your posts read like guys who just escaped the mental asylum. Guys like Wolfe who were around before actually have well thought out opinions and more wisdom. They understand the long term and the bigger picture in football.
Tiki taka is not the norm in Barca history btw, it was only played for a few short years and Barca had all time talent to play that style. It will likely never be replicated.
Barca didn't park the bus in the first half at all btw, they were on the front foot and dominated. After 1-0 ateti became more expansive and Barca naturally become more defensive as the game went on.

Away ties in champions league are always tough, even prime Barca lost away matches to the likes of arsenal
Barca were never going to win CL with the holes in the squad and after the disaster state lucho left the team in, the fact it's even considered a possibility is saying something. Barca were not supposed to win the liga this season either but they are, comfortably
The majority on this forum are naive. They expect a manager to walk in and play pep era football even though the team was in crisis, and are complaining about winning. We'd all like to play nice football but in the short term stabilising the ship and getting back to winning ways is what counts...
In one of his worst performances (still quite good though) against Chelsea he had 86% pass accuracy and won two aerial duels, also limited alonso's impact. If rakitic didn't take ten years to pass the ball he may have had more room to work his one two's with Messi and make his way into the box
