Yeah, order should have been the other way around basically. Koundé is not worth an extra 50% in wages compared to Inigo and Christensen. Especially not with our current salary cap issues. Don't think he´d be missed if we sold him.

Feel the same. He's been directly involved in most of the early goals we've conceded. Can't see us go far in the CL knockouts (not that we're good enough generally either) with him at CB. Quality opposition will punish his mistakes.

Why is this guy playing CB in important games for us again? He's had way more shaky moments in the last 3 months than AC has since he arrived more than a year ago. Already trust Inigo more and he offers more passing wise aswell. Might be that he has a higher ceiling than Christensen or Inigo...

Still yet to see a CB pairing with Koundé be as solid as the Araujo - Christensen partnership was last season in majority of games. As others pointed out, better teams than Sociedad are bound to capitalize on one of his mistakes in the CL knockouts. Feels a bit as if Xavi might be playing...

Think it's more due to missing both Frenkie and Pedri. Two out of Pedri, Frenkie and Gundo will give us plenty control in 90% of matches. Likes of Gavi, Fermin and Raphinha are good players, but not on the same level on the ball.

Much rather see out Pedri and Frenkie's injuries with him and Gavi deep and Fermin or Torres as an AM

Was flipping frustrating watching Raphinha time and time again turn his back on Yamal and try play through the middle and left with horrible passes. Just stop and give the ball to our only winger who can consistly create numerical advantages by dribling.

why tf are we not giving the ball more to Yamal? Everybody constantly trying to break through on the left when Yamal provides danger every time he is given the ball.

He is not a midfielder. What makes you believe he would do well playing in midfield. Dont see it at all

Very uplifting how well he has slotted into that spot as a hybrid LW/LAM with Balde providing with. Seems much more ideal for him than it ever was for Gavi, Ferran or even Ansu imo
