Have the Poles abandoned Lewa? Be interesting to follow the tread next season. Tempt might be the last of Mohicans.

    Clément Lenglet

Gotta look at it in terms of fee plus wageg. With high wages, getting a player off the books can be more impactful than any alternative. Barca's been trapped with those high contracts. Seems to be a great deal for us, but taking it with a pinch of salt.

    Hans-Dieter Flick

Honestly, a while back I wrote a small script and wanted to put it to use. That's the main reason behind the graphs  The issue is with xGA, expected goals data isn't available for the Supercopa (which I knew) nor for the Copa matches (which I didn't know). To keep things comparable, I...

    1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

It was rumoured that he deferred part of his wages to the second half of his contract and also agreed to a 30% pay cut for that period. Had he deferred 50% of his salary over the first three years (2022 to 2025), he would have received around 6m gross during that span. For the remainder of the...

What does the uncle say about it?

Why is it so hard to retain the Champions League?

Won’t go into the usual reasons, the margins are really small. But just to give you an idea: imagine you’re a heavy favourite in every knockout tie, with an 80% chance of progressing each round. If you were betting, the odds for you would be 1.25 and for your opponents 5. Pretty good, right...

    Rafael Leão

I’ve always been a fan of Leao, but it’s never wise to go into your biggest transfer hoping a player will completely change his demeanor. It might work for a month or two, or as long as he’s highly motivated, but sooner or later, he’ll revert to his baseline. Has there ever been a player who...

Okay, here’s another one: GA/PSxGA for each goalkeeper who played that season. The numbers above the bars are the ratio and the number of minutes played in brackets. That’s all folks.

    Hans-Dieter Flick

In my defense, I was bored. GA, xGA, SoTA, and the bars represent GA/PSxGA calculated across all goalkeepers who played during the season. Additionally, xG data on FBref is only available from 2017 onwards.

Lamine who was the best player over two legs against Inter? All I can say is do better.

Yeah, cannot help but think Tek’s form dropped after Mats went on his little media tour. Wouldn’t surprise me if he grew bitter if not in the limelight. Personally I find that Joan / Tek is just as strong a partnership as Mats / Joan. Or at least not far behind.

    Nations League 24/25

You’re always seeking drama, that’s what following Ronaldo to SA and back does to a man. This thread, don’t care about this competition at all.

Mats must be a revolutionary player then. Perfected this energy conservation for a GK. Should be named after him.

If they take the captain off our hands, they’ll quickly become my 2nd favourite club out there.
