    11 - Raphinha

Elite level stamina. The type of a player/winger Barca that had been missing for years.

    Iñigo Martínez

That is the on of the drawbacks of the highline. I suppose he should follow Cubarsi. But my guess in these situations he decided to play it safe and dropped back.

    6 - Gavi

Gavi has his own talents, but it's clear he lacks a clearly defined role on the pitch.

    Iñigo Martínez

Can't believe Barca didn't sign him sooner. Says a lot about how the selection process was handled under the previous administration.

CL 1/8 Final: Barca - Benfica 4-1 agg.

Agree. But the chances they created happened mostly by accident rather than the result of a deliberate play

    5 - Pau Cubarsí

Conceded a stupid red card. Needless to say the whole episode was a complete mess.

CL 1/8 Final: Barca - Benfica 4-1 agg.

For Benfica, the game didn’t go as planned after the red card. Barca gave up possession, forcing Benfica to take the initiative instead of relying on transitions. But when they had the ball, they were mostly out of ideas.

    25 - Wojciech Szczęsny

I've not seen such a solid performance from a Barca GK in UCL in a long time. Tek was like a rock today.

La Liga Round 26: Barca - Sociedad 4-0

To be frank, the lineup is a recipe for disaster.
  10. Z

    Gerard Piqué

Did Pique ever score an important goal/header when it mattered? Was he solid when Barca got eliminated from UCL year after year? Or when they got trashed by Bayern 8-2?

    Gerard Piqué

Pique has always had the benefit of Barca midfield controlling possession in most games. But against good teams, he often got exposed. Also, he was mostly useless on corners unlike Ramos for example. Also, there is a reason Pep wanted to get rid of Pique according to some sources.

    Gerard Piqué

Have to disagree on this one. Cubarsi has almost no weaknesses and would definitely be an upgrade over almost any CB in the Pep Barca even Pique and Puyol. Yamal and Pedri would easily compete for the starting spots.

    8 - Pedri

True, but De Jong and Cubarsi were also there. But someone should have covered the zone. The goal was is almost identical to the first goal scored by Atletico in December
  14. Z

    6 - Gavi

Bad. Lots of running, but very little in terms of useful output. Don't know if it is injuries or something else, but his game has hardly progressed over the last 1-2 years. I'm not even sure how to characterize him as a midfield or what useful skills he has.

    6 - Gavi

Before Flick, when Barca lacked athleticism and energy, Gavi made an impact on the pitch. But now, with significantly higher standards, everyone contributes with intensity in both attack and defense. This raises the question: what does Gavi truly brings in terms of useful actions on the pitch?

    21 - Frenkie de Jong

If Barca draws PSG for the next UCL stage, he should never start. His lack of focus and unwillingness to follow opposition players all the way can cost the team goals. Casado might be a better choice, but he is also not very convincing against top teams.
  17. Z

    Hans-Dieter Flick

Finally, a coach who knows how to organise the team defensively when one man down. Even with 10 men the team still posed a threat and could run into a counterattack. Barca had been lacking that for years. Although the season will show if it is just a blip or the team has really changed
  18. Z

    25 - Wojciech Szczęsny

Most of the match Sevilla didn't pose any problems to him. Despite that he was solid and reliable.
  19. Z

    16 - Fermín López

A reckless challenge. Until that was a solid performance. Looked sharp and added efficacy to the team
  20. Z

    18 - Gerard Martín

Solid cameo if only for a few minutes
