Nobody gave CR a shot in hell at winning this before Messi got injured. Not to mention the shenanigans that went on with blatter and the reopening. I would just laugh if he won. There is no question Messi had a better year even while plauged by injures. Ribery also should get the nod over CR.

Ronaldo is undeniably great. But he just doesn't captivate me like Messi does. Before I really got into the sport and threw my hat in with anyone I watched all the top teams. Until I got to Barcelona that is.... Literally 5 minutes later la pulga pulled off a signature run and chip and stunned...

Bayern is as much his team as Barca is to Xavi. He has been there since childhood and is living up his teams best and historic moment in recent times. They deserve to call themselves the best in the world and they earned it. Nothing he did is even as bad as when the whole Spain squad marched...
