Depth and therefore competition and the possibility to rotate without a big drop in quality is a good thing. Also Iniesta doesn't get younger and won't be able to play most matches on his highest level. And tbh there are midfielders out there who are better than Roberto, Rafinha and Rakitic...

Schalke Leverkusen will probably the more interesting match. But if you are looking for atmosphere, Dortmund easily owns Leverkusen. I´d choose Leverkusen Schlke, though.

You should´t choose the match based on the city. Both are pretty meh..

I don´t want to say anything against your opinion. It is just that I personally believe that Van Persie (And I mean Van Persie alone and not in general an experienced player) should not be bought, because imo he would´t be much of a help.
