Van Gaal doesn't need to trick the fans, it's a problem he inherited when taking the job so the fans will understand. It seems the club have clarified the comments by saying De Gea was not eager to play which is disappointing.

De Gea will get back in the team by September if he is still here. Maybe earlier if it looks like Madrid are definitely not going to pay the asking fee.
