    Ernesto Valverde - V1

He got the better of EV for sure, but it's pretty clear who learned the most from that game, no?

    Ernesto Valverde - V1

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; he's by no means perfect, but he definitely has his moments, such as last night, where he absolutely wiped the floor tactically with poor Setien. Hopefully he won't botch it against Man Utd (and hopefully he players won't let him down either). The...

    Isco

Not even in the squad for the Valladolid trip, despite injuries for Lucas Vasquez, Vini, Bale and Mariano (lol, but still...). Solari really isn’t a fan of poor Isco. He must be looking forward to a managerial change as much as any RM fan or player out there.

    Mariano Diaz

What the hell happened to him anyhow? I mean, how terrible do you have to be in order to not get any minutes in this terrible attack?

    Marco Asensio

I don’t think a player thread has ever taken a u-turn like this one before. Reading up on the beginning of the thread is hilarious stuff  Well, OK, the Coutinho thread is a pretty big contender of course

    Jean-Clair Todibo

Then why the deer in the headlights comment? It reads like you think EV threw him under a bus, which is why I pointed out it was a mere training match.

    Penal Madrid

Yeah, I think I get where you’re coming from. I have always had this strange, intangible notion of relief whenever Barca has been in turmoil. I like the idea of being able to close a chapter, lock the door and throw away the key so that your memories are stored and kept safe. A new, fresh cycle...

    Penal Madrid

You’re absolutely right that nothing is out of control, but you guys will obviously have to rethink the whole transfer strategy involving buying solely young talent, and banking on them replacing all-time greats such as Cronaldo. Cules were whining that you had readily replaced Cronaldo already...

    Jean-Clair Todibo

God forbid the dude who sees him in training on a daily basis tests him out in midfield (where apparently he’s played before) for 45 mins in a damned training match.

    Penal Madrid

Throwback to a year or so ago, when most cules in here were busy fellating Perez’s for his genius transfer strategy that would secure them decades of domination. Real Madrid can do no wrong!

Lliga | Round 23: Athletic Bilbao - FC Barcelona 0-0

I have a bad feeling about this game. Our susceptibility to counter attacks could very well be highlighted yet again by Iniaki Williams, and considering how lackluster we looked against Madrid, Bilbao will probably bully and harass us to no end - especially so without the calmness of Arthur...

    Premier League 2018/19

Yeah, it’s a downright crime. Perhaps, if we’re lucky enough that Sarri stays past summer (fat chance, I know...), we could push for Kante there. A dude like him could be just what Arthur and FdJ/Busi needs to make up for their perhaps less than stellar combative spirit.

    Premier League 2018/19

Because Sarri. He’s also made him play both lw and rw so far this season. Genius.

    Premier League 2018/19

Throwback to the days on the Barcaforum when Sarri and Jorginho were the only solution to bringing back the true Barça style. Good times.

    Premier League 2018/19

Will be interesting to see if Pep finally have learned how to play away ChL knock-out ties. I doubt it. Sarri, though... What a coach! :worthy:

    Frenkie de Jong

You should seek help, man. Your obsession with Raki isn’t even remotely healthy.

    Ivan Rakitić

I'd count ourselves lucky if we got half that fee.

    Vinícius Júnior

I know he's very young, and I know he's done way better than most expected so far, but I really wasn't that impressed with him? I mean, with the amount of space he had during the first half, constantly being able to run at our defense - often isolated in one on ones - I had feared he'd hurt us...

    Malcom

A positive match from him tonight. Most of all, I just love how happy he gets when he scores.

    Arthur

Same here - he just has that aura about him. I can't stress how glad I am to have this kid aboard. The shining star in a sea of mediocrity tonight.
