New Zealand needs to do it for the Shire!

    Bundesliga

Yep. Every single time I get my hopes up, they come crashing down in October.

    Bundesliga

I know it's early in the season, but thank you Hoffenheim. I figured us dropping points at Freiburg would begin the typical "let's chase Bayern" for the rest of the season routine, but it does not look like that spiel has started yet.

    Christian Mate Pulisic

    I agree.

    Christian Mate Pulisic

This kid is going to be better than Donovan and Dempsey.

    Arsenal

Reminds me of the character Denethor in Lord of the Rings. Would rather burn with the kingdom than hand it off to someone more deserving.

    José Mourinho

    I agree too about Pep.

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Absolute legend. Zlatan will carry the mantle.

    MLS

What the fuck is it with the owner lifting the trophy first? Just disgusting, corporate, and incredibly awkward.

    Bundesliga

Wouldn't be the first time someone from the second division immediately won the Bundesliga after gaining promotion. Kaiserslautern comes to mind. 1998 I think it was.

Clear replacement for Auba when he leaves for Real. :p

    Borussia Dortmund

Same exact here! I remember that goal like it was yesterday. I was some kid in a refugee camp watching this on our TV. I was a BVB fan for a bit by then and it was glorious!

    West Ham

Let's hope they can improve. Cress and Byram have been out so it's a makeshift defense plus no true striker. DP can only do so much by himself.

    Christian Mate Pulisic

    Agree with that.

    Marc Bartra

Same here re: Lars Ricken. That goal was epic. I became a fan of BVB around 1996 when I was 8. It has always been my first love. I'm thinking we'll go as far as the quarters this year and bow out, but surprises may be in store.

Who will do better in Manchester, Pep or Mou?

Because people don't understand the difference between legit criticism and envy/jealousy and they lack the vocabulary to find a better word. Though in IAmGundogan's case, I don't think he meant the word "hate" in the modern, hipster way.

    Has anyone read his book?

    Champions League 2016/17

I'm not a true Barca fan. I have never lived in Barcelona nor in Catalonia nor have I traveled to the place or watched a football match at the Camp Nou. I have enjoyed their football however. I just find your litmus test odd to these people in Zagreb. You expect someone who grew up there and...

    Champions League 2016/17

I'm not from Zagreb, but Dinamo has a lot of history and tradition. Plus some of our posters actually live there and have supported the club their entire lives. It is unrealistic to expect someone in that situation to cheer for Barca and not be labeled a "true cule" (whatever that means).

    Champions League 2016/17

You really expect someone to choose Barca over their hometown club in this situation?
