The first half of the season was a mixed bag. I am talking about being consistently decisive against top opponents without noticeable dips in form. Showing up when it counts against top teams.

And yes, statistically he's doing very well.
Yeah a first few months of season were not really his best

But he's absolutely picked it up since then as expected

And I believe the best of him this season is yet to come

In the Arsenal tie if this guy is on his best like vs Inter we might actually have a solid chance

And he's only 18 which is all the more impressive. His last goal was something else!

He's coming back in form. Maybe he already reached the type of maturity to know when he has room to play a bit and when it's time to really focus and deliver a more controlled performance.

Tbh, I don't care if he tries fancy stuff vs bad sides we usually beat either way. But when the bigger games come, I want to see a different level of focus regarding finishing his chances, a much lower rate of turnovers. If he can find ways to enjoy himself in lesser games, and switch it on vs bigger teams it can work, it's just harder to switch at will.

Because when you play vs Arsenal, City, Liverpool, PSG etc., the fancy things he tries vs mediocre or bum defenders are not gonna work. Even Ronaldinho couldn't sustain that for more than 1-2 seasons vs the best defenders.

If Yamal just did 25g and 15 assists every year for 15 years.

That is 375g 225a or 600 g/a

That is if he stays perma 18 and no improvement. Pretty crazy

Robben 187g
Ronaldinho 237g
Neymar 359g

In fact Yamal is on pace to surpass Neymar's goals for Barca next year. While at this age Neymar was coming on to the scene at Santos.

Yamal is on pace to become possibly one of the best players ever and people cannot even knock him for National team because he was central to a Euro at 16/17. Imagine he wins a WC.
That would still only be half of Messi's numbers lol, insane

It's a manufactured narrative you are pushing. He tries fancy stuff in every game; it's just more noticeable when it doesn't come off. In fact, he amasses most dribbles in the most difficult games (vs Madrid, Atletico, Inter, etc.)

Ronaldinho's couldn't sustain it because of his lack of professionalism and eventual extra weight, not because it would suddenly stop working. Not even the best defenders can deal with the combination of top physicality (pace, agility, strength) and technique.

Yeah, I wanted to trap them.

Obviously they are not whining cause he has been a bit more successful than before. But he would never get to that level if he were instructed to stop trying lol.

Lamine deserves the freedom to try, and should not be scorned for having 1 or 2 games where it’s not as successful as they want it to be when already established himself as a great dribbler of the game.

If they don’t believe Lamine is that player then be consistent and complain about it again with last game, even if was successful to your liking.

Only 18..at 21 he will destroy every team who play against us..we are so lucky. If Pedri and Yamal are fit Spain will win the World Cup easily..like they did at the Euros.
Ppl said the same about the white Pele Rooney

Turns out he didn’t get much better after a young age lol

That’s what happens with young stars at 18
