Only 18..at 21 he will destroy every team who play against us..we are so lucky. If Pedri and Yamal are fit Spain will win the World Cup easily..like they did at the Euros.

Today he did exactly what he did more last season and less this season. In a not so great game, when you have a chance and the opponent fecks up the marking, and you can get a shot in, you can decide the match right then and there.

And just like that, a not so good game, because a game winning performance. Just with one well taken shot.

If Yamal just did 25g and 15 assists every year for 15 years.

That is 375g 225a or 600 g/a

That is if he stays perma 18 and no improvement. Pretty crazy

Robben 187g
Ronaldinho 237g
Neymar 359g

In fact Yamal is on pace to surpass Neymar's goals for Barca next year. While at this age Neymar was coming on to the scene at Santos.

Yamal is on pace to become possibly one of the best players ever and people cannot even knock him for National team because he was central to a Euro at 16/17. Imagine he wins a WC.

I really liked his response about Yamal. Not a eulogy but a very realistic and grounded response. "He didn't have his best game, but decided the 3 pts nonetheless".

This is what being an elite player means. Even if your game is lacking, you have to be connected, not sulk and complain. And when the right pass comes, you are there, and you make it count on the scoreboard.

Why aren’t usual suspects complaining about his takeons? Pretty sure he is trying it as often as before.

What has changed I wonder hmmm…

his not so good is still better than 95% of wingers, the kid is an anomaly.

I was about to say same but didn’t bother.

His 2nd argument about what Flick thought of Lamine’s performance is also irrelevant. As there surely have been instances where Flick praised him but criticasters here didn’t agree. So why does it hold weight this time around?

He's been decisive in a few games in a row now. This is what defines a player as elite - not only stepping up when the opponent is weak or when the team is playing well but also being decisive when nothing is going our way.

Hope it continues consistently.

He's been decisive in that entire winning run after Chelsea loss

Then was bad in Atletico game and 1st half of Girona game... where our whole team was shit

He is one of most consistent players in Europe this season. It is simply that his standards are way above anything other players experience. Because he is way above everyone else

The first half of the season was a mixed bag. I am talking about being consistently decisive against top opponents without noticeable dips in form. Showing up when it counts against top teams.

And yes, statistically he's doing very well.
