I'd include Eric in that list as well. But it's short yes, although not that surprising as we've played last season at the absolute limit. Many players even overperformed only thanks to Flick.

He presses like a headless chicken. As a midfielder you need to press with awareness and read the game, not run around like a maniac.
Yeah he is a little of a loose canon... BUT, he costed us nothing, he's a Cule and he bangs in goals. If he was 50M like Olmo I would me more critical.

He's a mediocre player that gets hyped up because he is a La Masia product.

Lampard comparisons or Chelsea being in hard for him are fantasies of deluded Barca fans.

Goes to show just what the Flick system can do when you get guys like Fermin, Raphinha and Gnabry before putting the numbers that they have.

Get the man of quality reinforcements year by year.

Like Fermin but feels like a lot of Barca attackers are high risk/stat heavy approach and it is less about playing as unit or with different tempos depending on what game needs.

The defence and midfield are under constant pressure defensively due to how much is given up for the attacking players.. high line, offside, desperate press is all to benefit the attacking players.

Would help a lot of those front four at times would put foot on ball and slow tempo/hold ball to progress game etc.

There is zero 'pausa' and Fermin embodies all that is good and bad about that attack. He is given a platform to more or less play how likes and as a second striker taking risks.

Defend with the ball! With Xavi we were at one end of the extreme ; we were very conservative in attack and with the ball and took little risk, whereas now we take a massive amount of risk and can lose possession quickly and in dangerous areas. But neither of these produce the optimal result.

The best is probably some middle ground between these two attitudes, we have to learn to defend with the ball sometimes and slow things down in attack, not always risking dangerous losses, especially when already ahead.

Chelsea probably were in for him, they thought they could get a good deal given our financial situation.

And he is a 30 or 40m player. He has talent and he's clearly a good finisher with good movement.
