10 - Lamine Yamal

Flick has to establish authority on him. He has the talent, now he needs to grow up, learn, and improve. Subs are completely normal, he should come out more often, and losing the ball poorly is something he should be questioned for by the manager.

If he listens to the manager he is fine. I don't think it was a bad match. He is in average to poor form, best you can do when you are off is work hard and don't give the ball away too much.

They almost all moan when subbed.

Most top players dont like it.

Olmo always has a face on, Fermin has done the same, Lewa today was moaning when taken off, Raphinha wanted to leave as Xavi took him off too much for his liking.

He was ok today and worked hard. Nothing much came off.

I don't care if he moans. If he behaves he can moan and be unhappy when subbed all he wants. If it's disrespectful then this is an issue.

I saw a different attitude from him compared to last few games and imo Flick had a word with him. That's my take on it. Very needed. He should take it the right way. He doesn't need people around him to feed his ego and his immaturity. But help him grow out if it.

What would make it disrespectful?

They all are unhappy when come off.

If he bollocks Flick or something fair enough but being pissed off is no big deal and better than just being happy enough really.

I agree completely. Having another Neymar type player who is unprofessional and undisciplined is the biggest worry we should have with Yamal. His talent is evident.

All will be fine if the manager maintains good authority over him. This is obligatory to make it work. He doesn't have to like the manager's decisions but he should follow them always without question.

Neymar not a good example there. He was professional and one of fittest players in team.

Had to bust a gut to defend a lot when Suarez and Messi wouldnt really.

Obviously no one wants any player to go off rails. That goes without saying,

He was early on, then lost interest pretty quickly. Efectively retired in his 20s.

Not at Barca.

He got bad injuries at PSG also and pretty much seemed like regretted being there.

Maybe changed by then but Barca version he kept himself as about fit as anyone in team.

But dont even need to point to other players as goes without saying no one wants players to go off rails particularly when have so much to offer.

I think, and most will disagree with this, but that LaLiga would get great PR by moving their games during Ramadan to post fasting hours.

Especially as over the next decade or so, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm games will be post breakfast.
