I hope that he doesn't retire when he leaves Barça. His teams will always be fun to watch and on top of that he clearly has some more things to prove to a lot of people

He was labelled a covid merchant after that sextuple season and destroyed that narrative with a fantastic Barça stint. Now it would be fitting that he takes one of those super rich top european clubs that can actually afford him WC players in most positions... not that I would like that happening, because it's likely that team walks the UCL with little problem

Not that I have something against Yamal but I feel to mention that he plays much worse than last year. He waist too many chances and I could say that in last game with Girona, if he would have scored in first half or from penalty kick, the final result would have been in our favour.
Of course, he compensate that failure by effectively trying to pull the team after him. He was basically the only one doing that.

We need him right now just to expose the corruption I don’t care about results

🚨🗣️ Jose Mourinho on his red card and goes AGAINST the referee:

"It wasn’t about Vinícius’ second yellow.... No. I was sent off because I said something very clear."

"The referee had a note that basically said: ‘Tchouaméni, Carreras and Huijsen can’t get a yellow card!’... Because they would have missed the second leg."

“I told him that I’ve spent 1,400 games on the touchline, and he knew exactly who he was allowed to book… and who he wasn’t.”

"In the end, he booked someone everyone could see... WE KNOW HOW THESE THINS WORK!"

Domestic treble a few months ago in a corrupt league.

Flickball is undoubtedly most exciting football to watch in Europe.

Back 4 is as bad as the back 4 that started in the 8-2 loss against Bayern. We are gonna be conceding plenty of goals regardless of how high a line we play, that is the truth of it.

People wanting him going are classic grass is greener types. Same lot will be wanting next manager gone within a few months because if we sack Flick, things won't get better, they will get worse.

Flick is still doing a great job with a squad that is top heavy, lacks fresh faces and investment, looks tired and is unbalanced.

Not persevering with him would be a big mistake.

Don't see an issue with the high line here. Playing this way as FC Barcelona against the worst attacking and relegation side in La Liga is normal.

Problem is that Girona can play it out of the back with ease so many times. There is no serious collective pressing from Barca.

Look at the passage of play from Girona from 0:27 onwards. It's exemplary. Yamal does a half-arsed jog towards their LCB who plays it to their DM. By the time their DM receives the ball, Olmo rushes forward from deep to press the DM individually. During the time Olmo comes to press, Girona's LCB has already made a run forward past Yamal and their DM can pass it on. Now Koundé rushes up to press on his own while Girona's LCB and LB made it 2 vs. 1 against Koundé (Yamal is alibi backtracking). At this point, Girona is already at our backline's throat, the LB just needs to pass it to anyone making a run.

This is not a highline issue. This is a lack of pressing issue. Which is surprising for such a young team to press half-arsed like this in the 10th minute of a game in February, especially after a 0-4 defeat 4 days prior.

If everyone played like Raphinha off the ball we wouldn't be having this discussion.

The ones screaming to kick Flick are the usual imbeciles, who have zero idea about football or how to run a club in general. According to these muppet fans, that every team has, every club would change a coach everytime the team goes through a low phase. Not worth engaging these idiots.

That goes double for our case, if you see that Flick increased the performance of the majority of the players and won with zero transfer budget the domestic treble in a season, where the internet was jerking off to Madrid being unbeatable with Mbappe, remained trophyless because of us and had to spend big only to risk another trophyless year.

There is not one coach out there, that could have achieved what Flick did in the last 1,5 seasons with this squad available, while playing one of the most entertaining football at the same time. This can't be valued high enough.

Yes, he makes mistakes, everybody does. Big surprise we don't win everything with a thin squad, young and much overplayed players, zero budget and a corrupt to the bone league. He doesn't field Balde, Eric, Cubarsi and Kounde in the backline because he wants to, but because there is nobody else.

Flick is the best we can get. We stick with him until he wants to go or forces us to sack him. Not nearly there yet. Everyone is pissed in the heat of the moment when you look at how stupidly we defend. Sacking Flick is good for our defense but when he goes so do the great things he brought in the last 1.5 years.

His defensive system is tremendously risky and this means stupid often, but when players are fit and responsive, it has been proven to work. He needs to be backed and allowed to fix things for as long as his stress resistance allows him to.

We can't really sack him at the first sign of big trouble. This was always going to be a harder season than the first. It always is.
