He is right, but he needs to watch out with all the blaming, for it's never interpreted well at Barca. One of the best manager we could possibly have gotten, considering our financial situation and our attacking oriented play style, yet the press will eat him alive if he takes it too far.
I think the club should back him here so that he isn't the only one standing up for fairness. He shouldn't be the only one channeling the frustration.

It's not only depth. We have a much bigger problem. We have to many similar players. In midfield we literally have zero muscles and in the back line all of our players are either too slow or too dumb. In addition to that we currently don't have a proper No.9. Lewa is finished and Ferran is a joke.
With all that in mind I simply can't understand why is Flick so stubborn? It's visible from the moon that we can't play with such a high defensive line every single game. However, he has no intention to change it.

I really like many of the aspects Flick brought to the team last season. But this season it's just not clicking. Not even in one game, we havvent surpassed 2024-2025 performances.
When you have tried all your defenders in various mix ups and positions and always get the same result, its obviously an issue of overall defensive approach.
As for certain players and positions, this is my 2 cents:
Araujo may be brainded, but in a NORMAL defensive approach, he is the best pure defender we have.
Garcia BELONGS in midfield, especially without the control Pedri provides.
Either play Lewandowski as a starter or not, we cannot change the frontline each game. On top of the constant injuries, this prevents chemistry from building up.
Same goes for defense. We cannot change the defense each game.
If we approach the rest of the season with some continuity and a more pragmatic approach, we have a chance to turn it arround.

Flick is completely misusing Lewandowski and Torres.
Lewandowski isn't a super sub. Lewandowski's presence alone creates a lot of space for Yamal and Raphinha.
Torres should never lead the line for FC Barcelona. Not even if Barca gets relegated lmao. He's a good super sub and at his best against tired legs.
Flick using Ferran as the main striker will cost him important games. It's affecting Yamal and Raphinha too. Barca is way out of Ferran's league.

I don’t believe this is a fitness issue. Rather, it seems to be a combination of limited squad depth and a system that is mentally very demanding., perhaps too demanding for the players currently available. That said, I still think this system is the most suitable for the profile of our players.
As several people have pointed out, it’s unlikely that another coach would achieve significantly better results given the structural flaws across the squad, not only in defense, but also in midfield (which is the most critical area, in my opinion) and in attack as well.
Given the quality of our squad last season, we were clearly overperforming and we still show flashes of that level this season. What we need now is patience and the right transfer decisions to gradually strengthen the team.
We also shouldn’t forget that we are coming off a decade of chaotic management. Rebuilding and restoring stability to the club will take time.

Agree, Lewa is not putting ANY effort on the pitch as is so slow/ bad on everything. At least Ferran make some pressing and try do help as much he is capable of. Of course, he is not good either as a nr. 9.
We badly need a pure striker like Victor Osimhen for much less money than Lewanflopski is actually paid. So stupid Barca management….
