At this stage I'm just pretty exciting to see Juan Hernandez giving the ball to run with. Immensely talented player who has been peripheral behind the Guille's, Toni's and DRO's until now.

Legend part is played out. When I think of legends of the club Luis Enrique is quite far down the list.

There's hundreds of club legends by some definition. But they do not all share the same attachment to the club. Vast majority played here and they are remembered well because they did it well. Luis Enrique played for Madrid at some point I believe.

The type of legends alive today you'd expect to pass on a player they like because of emotional link to Barca and La Masia... Probably can count them on one hand. For most, individualistic goals and competitive pursuits far outweigh Barca love or nostalgia.

I have been looking at 2016-17 a lot these past few days, and I have to say that he really screwed up that season. That season was genuinely as bad as 2023-24, we were boring, uninspired and very complacent. Imagine 2 of the biggest moments in the history of the club happened during this season and none of them amounted to anything special that season. Messi's goal v Madrid was a very iconic moment in the club's history yet at the end of the day we did not win LaLiga and Roberto's goal v PSG to complete Imo the greatest come back of all time in the history of sports resulted not in a route to the final and the 6th but a quarter final exit in humiliation against Juventus conceding 3 goals and scoring none with the best attacking trident of all time.
