23 - Jules Kounde

Upgrades are possible everywhere, almost all the time. The chances we can upgrade Kounde are very slim. I would rather have a player who can contributes vs bigger teams than one that is focused in smaller games but can't impact bigger ones.

Same Kounde who missed an absolute sitter v Real this season as couldnt control the ball.

'Appears in big games'... Eric scored v Real and in CL semi final last season in a few games at RB.

Ah so goal posts moved.

Kounde also defended poorly to make it 2-2 in that same game.
Well, forgive me for thinking normal people should value a clinching golazo in ET more than a 4-1 goal, which was mostly worked by Raphinha anyway.

But, as a I told you, we need to see if Kounde can play as well this season. What he did in the past only shows ability and potential. Doesn't matter much if he plays like shite.

You just make shit up... like your claim he locked down Barcola v PSG so they moved him.

Utter nonsense.

He did. Barcola played vs Kounde, then he wasn't getting anything done, and he played on the right after that, where he messed up poor Martin.

Little to nothing happened on our right vs PSG. One time Kounde made a mistake where he slipped and everybody jumped on that like children.

What was Kounde doing to 'lock up' Barcola?

Just lies.

Against Real in that final Kounde completely lost Tchouameni for the 2-1 Real goal.

Kounde was awful v PSG and taken to cleaners by their young winger.

Standard stuff. Didn't give him the inside on 1 vs 1, kept close, was physically good.

Nothing out of the ordinary. They didn't have him switch sides because Kounde was Maldini, we had a bum on the other side.

No... Barcola got a lot of space on left and was playing poorly... Eric was doing more to stop him than Kounde.

PSG switch wide players all the time and kept with it after their teenager started getting ball and running at Kounde.

Also untill that point Yamal had been best player on park and Barca better team with Barcola barely tracking back at all on that side.

Their is zero chance anything was changed due to Kounde 'locking up Barcola'

Kounde always was a player who fecked up in lesser games and then did stuff occasionaly that was special. Since Sevilla days. It is the same in our team. Everyone can decide if they want to tolerate his fuckups vs lesser sides or want more consistency.

Saying every defender can do those special things in bigger games is not true. Saying he was trash in bigger games last season is a lie. The only pertinent points you bring up is that Kounde fucks up often when the game is perceived as easier, he is not consistent.

Not what happened.

PSG started with largely gambling to leave Barcola high up the park when Kounde pushed on but he was doing absolutely nothing in that space left and Barca getting a lot of joy on that side with Yamal.

Enrique changed it to take the younger lad across and he tracked Kounde more and got the ball more in areas to front up Kounde than Barcola did as a result.

It worked.

'Big game Kounde' is a figment of your imagintation based on one goal in a cup final... after he had lost his man for Real to go 2-1 up.

Lost man . Was a box full of Barcelona players on a corner. You can't actually be serious. That is a zone we should have cleared. When ball lands there any 1 vs 1 scenario goes out the window. Even the keeper can come out there. Please...

Making it seem Kounde caused that goal is desperate.

Poor comeback...

His man was Tchou. Totally lost him.

Was 3 feet of Tchou with not a clue where he was while gazing at the ball.

How 'full' the box was matters not.

It was more poor defending.

As I said... desperate. I would completely understand if someone doesn't like Kounde. Fair and square, he fucks up often, half the time he looks like he smoke pot before a game in the locker room. But you're just going to such extremes it's close to hate.
